About her: "Nell" is the youngest of five of the Crain family (and a twin), they moved into Hill House over the summer while their parents renovated it to flip it. And instead they ended up waking the spirits that lived there prior. She had her own ghost—Bent-Neck-Lady—and her siblings had theirs. After a horrible night, they left, minus one family member, and moved on with their lives. Somewhat. Still haunted by BNL, Nell got married and became widowed and then returned to the House despite her father telling her not to. The House would have what it started!

Johnny is a businessman who owns the Margrave Building in the city of Gallery. You've never heard of Gallery before? That's because his canon has some alternate history stuff going on which includes a surprising lack of racism and homophobia for 1907. There's an amazing black lesbian Great Detective with a wife who's a famous painter, and they're kinda #lifegoals in the comic.

If you are unfamiliar with the book, Claudia looks five, is actually 65-67, is an immortal vampire who will burst into flames in the sunshine, is strictly nocturnal, is the teeniest psychopath you'll ever meet, and is straight from 1865 so, uh, there will be some Culture Shock.
Claudia will be looking for Blood Donors and at least One Adult (at first) to deflect the fact that she's a small child unsupervised. As she gets used to the setting, she'll probably do away with the pretense of being merely mortal. She can drink from someone without killing them. Anyone wanna sign up? :D

Ohai! I'm KaOS, and I bring the (technically) older Crain twin, Luke, from Haunting of Hill House! Luke's been haunted by ghost-induced trauma since he was six and tried to solve the problem with alcohol and heroin. He's been in and out of rehab for the past 6 years but he's finally been clean for 92 days! He's proud of himself. And then his sister died and the ghosts started harassing him again and then he went home where the house made him overdose so that's...fun. He's going to be struggling hard right now so friends are always a great thing.

Hello, all. My name is Wizera (she/her) and I'm bringing you this lovely lady, Diana Abel. She's an OC from the sunshine and puppies universe of Vampire: The Masquerade. For those of you familiar with the game, she's a high-humanity dom Malkavian and her character stats are available here. For those of you unfamiliar with the game, she's a sweet and kind hippy, who just wants to find love and who happens to be about 257 years old. Her backstory is here and her permissions meme is here.
Importantly, she will probably be looking for blood donors pretty fast, because she won't necessarily trust the blood that's being given out freely. But fear not! Diana never kills! And being bitten by a Cainite is a highly pleasurable experience...which means she'll mostly be looking for victims who are 21+. Bonus points if you're an attractive dude, because Diana took the 1960s very seriously.
As for me, I'm an author and playwright, and do research communications to pay the bills. I'm usually a pretty quick tagger and if you don't hear back from me within 24 hours, that means something has probably gotten lost. I prefer prose, but am more than willing to do action spam. I'm on CST.

Well, this is probably the strangest character choice I could have made depending on who you ask, but hello everyone! My name is Taku, and today I bring you Reigen Arataka, the greatest psychic of the 21st century. You may recognize him as "beloved american celebrity Clark Newman", or as the "internet sex symbol" if you google either of those statements right now (no, really, i'm not joking), or as this gif showcasing Studio Bones's bizarre thirst for this man. In non-shitposting context, however, he is from an anime called Mob Psycho 100.
Reigen is, as I said, "the greatest psychic of the 21st century"... except, he isn't. He has no psychic powers at all whatsoever despite being surrounded by espers back home, but he sure will claim he does. He's a con artist among the psychic community that manages to get by somehow convincing people he is in fact psychic with sheer charisma and improvisation, while the actual esper under his employment, a middle schooler, exorcizes the actual legit ghosts on his behalf. Despite this shady scumbag line of work, however, Reigen's actually a decent enough guy sometimes, as well as somehow ending up as the Dad figure of the series thanks to the esper kids he keeps adopting back home.

I am bring in one Anthony J. Crowley from the series Good Omens. He is a demon, possibly retired, after a series of events which lead to the world not ending. His fault for misplacing the Antichrist, teaming up with an Angel to make sure the Great War between Heaven and Hell didn't go according to any 'Great Plans'... and being largely incompetent at his job as a demon. He will be feeling pretty good about himself and maybe even think he decided to take a cruise as a treat after all that trouble. Now how he boarded and all without remembering doing that is totally down to Aziraphale's fault. Too much partying at the Ritz.
It looks like he will be sharing a room with with a demon hunter. That should go well! Hey Dean, he keeps odd hours and like to shout at plants, I'm sure you won't have any trouble getting some shut eye!

I loved the novel (although it's been a while since I read it) but never really found the mental strength to watch the series. Just ended up admiring the pretty gifs and whatnot.

I'm Wolfie (she/they) and I usually have no idea what's going on. I'm a bit of a slow tagger sometimes because my work-life balance is whack. If I don't tag you for a week that's not your fault, it's mine and I'm so sorry every time.
I'm bringing in a lying rat bastard from Elsword Online named Dantalion, but he sorta-kinda might have murdered a man and shapeshifted into said man's form to impersonate him, so he goes by Master Ebalon or simply Ebalon. No one should be finding out his true name or sadistic personality for quite a while, but I expect it to slip through the cracks eventually... he also might try to recruit you to a doomsday cult. It's fine.
Ebalon is very keen on knowing as much of the world as possible, and he will trade knowledge for more knowledge. He's useful in that he has a lot of magical prowess, too. The guy's pretty versatile and that's the one thing he hasn't lied about. He has only ever blown up something super important Twice in canon lore, therefore I expect that at some point he will try to blow up the ship's engine... I keep making this joke because I want him to try it and eat shit honestly.

Hi everyone, I'm Revi and I bring Natsuno Yuuki from Shiki, aka Japan's homage to Salem's Lot. Natsuno used to be a normal teenage whose biggest concern was getting out of the tiny village his hippie parents moved to. But then a bunch of vampires (here called shiki, literally "corpse-demon") decided that a tiny village is a great place to take over, ruined Natsuno's life and turned him into one of them.
Natsuno is aloof, clever and has an almost uncanny ability to stay calm under stress... unless someone he cares about is involved, at which point he'll throw away his own well being in a heartbeat. Needless to say, this causes him to make some very poor life choices. His current emotional state is 90% dead inside, 10% bitter that he keeps failing being dead on the outside. But hey, at least figuring out the creepy ship will keep him busy and stave off the existential dread of an being an immortal monster.

Dean is a hunter of all things supernatural and weird (ghosts, demons, wendigos, banshees, etc) and is coming in nice and fresh from the beginning of Season 5, episode 1 - Sympathy for the Devil. He's reckless, sassy, uber pissed at his brother, and not a fan of demons (sup Crowley). Despite being a cranky bastard, he's actually pretty friendly until he's given a reason not to be, so by all means, approach! He's also incredibly popculture savvy, so if we thread I'll probably ask you if he can 4th wall your character cause, you know. He's consumed a lot of media (up to 2010, when he's from).
As for me, I'm on Eastern time, live in NC, like to travel and write dumb shit on the internet. Hello, hello! I'm Zen and I'm bringing in Genius Mage Rita Mordio from Tales of Vesperia (ye olde XBox 360 version where Flynn never joins the party and remains the stay-at-home knight). Rita is a tempermental teenager who's super obsessed with research and magic science. And this here is Ava Starr aka Ghost from the absolutely underrated Ant-Man and the Wasp. She's a rather elusive sort with invisibility powers, a bit shy and awkward because her social skills have been limited mostly to assassinating people for SHIELD. (Don't worry she doesn't particularly enjoy it.) She's got a weird sense of humor and a lot of curiosity, and once you get past her trust issues she's a rather empathetic and uh... sweet girl. With a bit of a tendency to get herself into trouble.

if you want a full long ass info about this girl here, feel free to read my about page that i have. but to put it in tl;dr terms. our jinx here is practically a loose cannon criminal teenager with the most tragic backstory in the world, i swear. she loves guns and weaponry so much that she can invent them annnnnd she also talks to them and gives them little cartoony voices for them to speak.
because. yeah. she's that insane. but this poor girl is also suffering from a lot of trauma. so. your character may catch her speaking loudly to herself to the voices in her head or to her hallucinations(her dead friends usually). and sometimes her hallucinations get so terrible (demons and monsters), she will lash out and maybe accidentally cause an explosion or shoot someone. that's fun, right?
BUT!!! the only thing that she has on her is a pistol with no bullets so at least for now, you don't have to worry about her accidentally shooting you during a mental breakdown. in her series, her age is kinda unknown??? hardcore fans speculate her to be between 17-19years old and i decided to just put her in the middle and say 18 cause safer. BUT you will see her at bars and clubs and what not sometimes because, well, in zaun - her birthplace, she can just waltz in there with no problem. ummmm... i dont know what else to say besides get ready for some chaotic conversations with her.

She's a Roman slave, a very high-ranking one from a very wealthy family. She was her master's personal assistant (I've explained her as his Pepper Potts and that includes the decade-long affair they have been having). Kore prior to her current position raised his son Tiberius and until he brutally attacked her, she loved him dearly and thought of him as her own son. At the point I'm bringing her in, she's killed him and surrendered herself to her former master - she's awaiting her crucifixion when she's brought in. So she's pretty sure she's actually just dead.

Hello! My name is Lauren and this is Malcolm Bright from the TV show Prodigal Son. Malcolm is a criminal profiler, formerly of the FBI. He got fired for punching a sheriff that killed a perp he had just talked into lowering his weapon and surrendering. Oops? He actually got fired for more than that, but that's neither here nor there. >> Point is, now he works as a consultant for the NYPD! One of the reasons he's so great at his job is because his father is a serial killer, a particularly prolific one that was active in the 90s nicknamed "The Surgeon". Ten year old Malcolm actually turned him in! So, his life is really normal and trauma free...
Malcolm suffers from PTSD. This usually manifests itself in night terrors and his hand shaking whenever he speaks about his father and his crimes. He has to sleep in restraints so that he doesn't end up hurting himself or someone else during his night terrors (sorry, roommate) and is also on a bunch of medications. Despite all this, Malcolm is generally pretty cheerful. He'll talk about murder and serial killers freely if you get him on the subject. He's also very intelligent, bordering on know-it-all, with a narcissistic streak. Also, self-preservation, what is that? He doesn't know her. Malcolm is the type that runs towards danger without any regard for himself if it means getting answers or helping someone. So he's like most of the idiots here, tbh.
Being a profiler, Malcolm can probably "read" your character very well aka make assumptions about them based on physical or personality traits. I won't do this without asking, but if you would like to opt out from being profiled or from hearing about his daddy issues, his permissions are here.

He's fresh from chapter 1040, the last time we see him alone and unconscious before being rescued, so I might have to warn for spoilers if threads get heavy but mostly, man, just enjoy this ridiculous overpowered idiot with no sense of direction and an iron liver.
As for me I've been around a while here and there, I might have played with some of you in distant pasts. I'm an old fart, he/they, I cosplay, I have cats, I work from home, uhhhhhhhh...I don't really use plurk much anymore so if you need me, PM Zoro's journal and I'll see it way before I see any other notification. Hi, I'm goblin seiko and am bringing you Zhongli from Genshin Impact. The biggest things your characters will notice is that he is extremely particular about everything, really loves luxury and shiny stuff, looks somewhere in his 30s, but acts like he's 95 years old and just completely come off as a very grandpa-figure from wisdom and advice to telling you the most useless facts ever. He also seems to know a little too much of just about everything. He's also always broke, but since everyone on the ship is he will probably be able to get away with that not being obvious.
The truth is he's a god that's about 6,000 years old and "retired," so he's puttering around trying to experience the most mundane and simple human life possible to live out until he dies. He is quite good with advice and a good listener, so I hope he will eventually gain the trust of others on the ship where they feel they can come discuss things that are stressing them the hell out. Or he can just be everyone's resident grandpa/parent.
Fun fact that you can totally skip over: absolutely cannot do seafood unless it's cut and ground down into a pulp due to a sea monster tentacle infestation happened a long time ago. TL;DR: When he cut down a great sea monster threatening his people, its tentacles broke apart into many smaller tentacles and rained across the city that he had been defending. He promised to save his people from them, too, but they were all sneaky little jerks and would hide in small spaces so he couldn't just smash them like hulk. He keeps his promises no matter what, though, so he scoured every single inch of the harbor city of his people to capture the small tentacles in tiny cages and liberate the population one tentacle in a cage at a time. By then he was thoroughly traumatized by their smell and their slimy wiggly tentacleness that wants nothing to do with seafood or sea monsters. being on a ship at sea is clearly the best option for him, and a spooky haunted murder ship is even better.
Not sure how he feels about those crab legs.
Anyway, I admit ahead of time he can be a rather ... simple and "boring" character to interact with especially now that he's trying to be as "completely ordinary and normal of a human being" as possible, but I will make every effort for anyone that's willing to play with him to have enjoyable threads, regardless. Thanks for giving us both a chance 💕.
