introduce yourself. introduce your characters. introduce the pagan to the cleansing word of our lord and savior jesus christ. just generally introduce.
Heeeey. I'm Jesse, zerothlaw, and I'm bringing you Dr. John H. Watson, MD, specifically from book canon though I'm sure one or two of the five million adaptations leaks in there a bit, and yes I'm here expecting fourth walling problems because anything else would be unreasonable, but this is what I signed up for. One ex-army doctor and biographer and assistant detective at your service. If you know the stories, I'm playing from the hiatus. If you don't know the stories, it's 1892 and Watson thinks Sherlock Holmes is dead but he's actually. Like. In Tibet and stuff. And also Mrs. Watson is dead. Because I have no chill and she died in there somewhere, so it may as well have already happened to him.
Me, I'm Canadian, my pronouns are whatever you want, and I've been laid up for a few days in monstrous pain so I'm on so many painkillers, so my plurk at present... Reflects that, apologies in advance if you decide to add me. I like science fiction and have cockatiels.
Oof, the books sound like a wild ride I didn't know I was missing. Might have to start reading them...
It's nice to meet you, Jesse! I hope you feel better soon with whatever's troubling you, painkillers aren't friendly even at the best of times. (At least for me.)
The difference between the cultural image of Sherlock Holmes and the actual stories is a little amazing sometimes. Holmes is an eccentric genius artist, Watson is his more practical ex-military doctor best friend, shenanigans happen. They're very fun and yes you should absolutely read them. Not that I'm biased at all.
OOCly, it was fans writing letters, begging a creator to bring the character he'd killed back for more stories.
And thank you, I hope I'm on the mend because I'm very tired of lying in bed.
lol I do love me a good mystery wrapped up in historical contexts. So I'm definitely going to have to look into getting my hands on them. It was probably bring them back or face people writing fanfiction that he did come back.
Absolute mood. The body just hurts more sometimes the longer you stay in bed.
Listen I loved the stories sfm ok >.> any incarnation of Sherlock Holmes and friends is best incarnation and I've always got a soft spot for book!Watson and his enthusiasm
I am the last person who gets to make fun of you for liking these stories, holy heck. If anything, I expect "who the hell plays Dr. Watson" as a response.
I love that some one is playing from the books. Crowley will not have read those... but he has probably seen the movies and preferred the ones with explosions. There is no accounting for taste.
