introduce yourself. introduce your characters. introduce the pagan to the cleansing word of our lord and savior jesus christ. just generally introduce.
hello everyone! i'm demi, and i'm bringing in Clarke Griffin from the hot mess CW show The 100. she's best summarized as a space princess turned science experiment, then turned apocalyptic genocidal warlord, back to science experiment but this time it works and she somehow survives yet ANOTHER radioactive apocalypse! she'll be coming in with a beautiful smattering of radiation burns and a horrible sparkling attitude!
she's a bit intense, and has absolutely no idea how to relax in new environments. but in her down time, she likes to draw, casually continue learning how to be a doctor, assume leadership roles, and c r y.
as for me, i'm most easily reached on plurk at inb4circlejerk and most consistently available to tag in the evenings. i'm very excited to get my teeth into this plot and would love threads with each and every one of you! clarke, being the human bulldozer she is, is already pretty set on trying to find the captain and figure out if it's even possible to get home, and will gladly rope anyone with similar ideals in with her!
I'm actually canon-familiar with The 100--great show, amazing characters, I'm quietly surprised I never picked up any myself. So it's exciting to see Clarke. Johnny's sure to be impressed by her intensity, even if he's so not going to match her energy. Sister, you're too young to be this worked up over everything...
first & foremost, there's no age limit on anxiety!
secondly, we've already covered this a little on plurk, but i'm preemptively excited for this cr! it's either going to go amazingly, or terribly — which is just another type of amazing!
i'll keep an eye out for ya on the first game post for sure! and feel free to yell about the 100 any time with me, i love this show for a much as the last season let me down
I love the first 3 seasons intensely. I liked when the show felt like it was exploring "the needs of the many vs. the needs of the few" in as many different angles as possible, and the Mt. Weather arc was my absolute favorite. But I haven't finished seasons 4 onward--got distracted and just never went back.
seasons 1-4 are peak imo. i'd watch those over and over again, but after it's a bit of a clusterfuck with a few nice moments sprinkled in. then season 7, everything hits the fan, i have no idea what's happening, character arcs are undermined, the main characters aren't even in half the episodes??? basically if you ever go back, stop at season 6 and save yourself the heartbreak
also i'm taking clarke from the end of s4, in our future threads are you alright with spoilers? she has a few very intense thoughts revolving around her canon point but i don't want to ruin the show for you
I watch the 100 except for the last... 2 seasons I think? Familiar with your canon point anyway, and it's awesome to see Clarke!
Natsuno will be readily roped in to her efforts - he's an emotionally detached mess and doesn't really have anything to go back for, but no one asked him if he wants to board the ship and therefore he needs to be a pain in the crew's ass.
you are absolutely doing yourself a favor by not watching those last two seasons. stay where you're at and save yourself the heartbreak, but I'm still excited to bring Clarke here and look forward to causing chaos as only members of the 100 can!
and dang, they're really two sides of the same coin in that regard! Clarke's like "go back to an irradiated death trap of a world? I don't want to but iT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THE OPTION!" I'm stoked for this inevitable team up, let's cause some trouble
hi! it's a super fun show for the first few seasons, then falls off the rails a little, but i'm still a sucker for it.
and right back at ya! i absolutely love interview with a vampire, even if it's been years since i've last watched it. i look forward to claudia & clarke probably... not getting along? but who knows, maybe they'll surprise us!
Zero familiarity with the canon but I'm loving Clarke and our tdm thread right now!! Girl seems like she's been through Some Stuff, I wonder if they'll ever stop (unsure)ing at each other but I'm here for this CR!
ditto & ditto! i am loving their attempts at pushing past differences in their home worlds (low key utterly failing lol) and look forward to potentially teaching each other more about magic & science!
would you be interested in carrying our tdm thread over into game canon at all? i think we've built a super good starting block for this cr already, but will also happily rehash it if you want to change anything!
yesss it'd be great if they can eventually get to that point! I've also just enjoyed looking things up to determine how much Rita would feasibly know (going with a nay on subatomic theory)
anyway, yes, I'd absolutely love to keep their thread as game canon! I'm looking forward to where it goes next!
Hello! Kore here doesn't want to go home (she's to be crucified so she'd rather not). But she's been trained as a midwife and other field medical care from the Roman sense.
kore seems like a lovely, if not high key traumatized individual... which is just clarke's type, tbh. i'd love cr between the two of them no matter what, but comparing new age & old age medicinal practices could be a super fun place to start!
haaaaaaaaaaa She really is very traumatized and in some ways has no idea of it. But she was a nurse/nanny at 12/13 and then the boy she raised attacked violently in order to hurt his father and promised to keep doing it. He also murdered the witness in a Jack the Ripper style murder, assaulted a man who tried to stop him, etc - Kore ended up killing Tiberius when she thought he was going to survive all this. All while being his father's mistress for over a decade - and she's Marcus' slave so yeah it's...
Yeah.
Then there is her running and joining the Rebellion and being hated for who had owned her and such and having her life openly threatened by the leader of the Rebellion.
She has trauma she doesn't realize at all and is still lovely and kind.
And Kore loves to learn, it's one of the 'perks' of being the kind of slave she was, she was very highly educated and justifies her enslavement with it. And she's given to teaching others so it would be a great place I think.
I absolutely loved The 100 (for the first couple of seasons, anyway). I've never played off of a Clarke before. But if anyone is good at teaching people to relax it...might be Diana?
absolute same energy re: those last few seasons of the 100, what a hot mess (but bob morley and eliza taylor got married after the finale, and are gonna have a baby so maybe that's a silver lining??) and i'm blind to diana's backdrop canon, but always a sucker for vampires so i'm excited!
she is WELCOME to try to help clarke relax, so long as she's braced for inevitable failure asdfghj
/o/ Hi Demi!! I've always liked the premise of the show but I can't say I've been able to sit myself down to watch it. (It's on my watch later list, I swear.) So it'll be fun to play with Clarke and to get to know the series! (I'm Astrella, btw.)
i'm biased but i think the 100 is great, though feel free to stop watching after the 5th or 6th season. season 7 is an offense.
likewise, i absolutely LOVE the haunting of hill house. the whole series, really — i'm especially a big fan of how they've reused actors as different characters! and i'm super stoked to play with nell!

And YES let's cause some trouble, when Natsuno commits to something he goes big, dead bodies and explosions.

I haven't gotten to Bly Manor, got super uncomfy with the first episode and haven't really...touched it since? But I did like them reusing faces too!
