Why 'allo there! My name's Astrella and I'll be bringing this lovely lady, Eleanor Vance from the series Haunting of Hill House.
About her: "Nell" is the youngest of five of the Crain family (and a twin), they moved into Hill House over the summer while their parents renovated it to flip it. And instead they ended up waking the spirits that lived there prior. She had her own ghost—Bent-Neck-Lady—and her siblings had theirs. After a horrible night, they left, minus one family member, and moved on with their lives. Somewhat. Still haunted by BNL, Nell got married and became widowed and then returned to the House despite her father telling her not to. The House would have what it started!
About me: This is...the first time in many years that I'll be joining a game! So please forgive while I dust the cobwebs off the corners of the RP-mind. I work as a pharmacy technician, I play Guild Wars 2 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons most frequently. I try to stream Phasmophobia every now and again. Ahoy! I'm Solstice, and I'm bringing you Johnny Summer, from the webcomic Lavender Jack.
Johnny is a businessman who owns the Margrave Building in the city of Gallery. You've never heard of Gallery before? That's because his canon has some alternate history stuff going on which includes a surprising lack of racism and homophobia for 1907. There's an amazing black lesbian Great Detective with a wife who's a famous painter, and they're kinda #lifegoals in the comic.
Anyway, Johnny's a chain-smoking entrepreneur who's no weak sister! He's coming in armed, though whether or not he's dangerous is sort of hard to tell. He's squirrelly, at least, and willing to act brashly in desperation.
As for me! Hi, like I said, I'm Solstice. I've been doing journal RP since 2009 or so, but had a long break around the time everyone moved to DW and came back in 2020. Watson, MD, specifically from book canon though I'm sure one or two of the five million adaptations leaks in there a bit, and yes I'm here expecting fourth walling problems because anything else would be unreasonable, but this is what I signed up for. One ex-army doctor and biographer and assistant detective at your service. If you know the stories, I'm playing from the hiatus. If you don't know the stories, it's 1892 and Watson thinks Sherlock Holmes is dead but he's actually. Like. In Tibet and stuff. And also Mrs. Watson is dead. Because I have no chill and she died in there somewhere, so it may as well have already happened to him.

The difference between the cultural image of Sherlock Holmes and the actual stories is a little amazing sometimes. Holmes is an eccentric genius artist, Watson is his more practical ex-military doctor best friend, shenanigans happen. They're very fun and yes you should absolutely read them. Not that I'm biased at all.

Hello, I am the Suz, I am bringing Claudia from Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice to this sunny vacation cruise!
If you are unfamiliar with the book, Claudia looks five, is actually 65-67, is an immortal vampire who will burst into flames in the sunshine, is strictly nocturnal, is the teeniest psychopath you'll ever meet, and is straight from 1865 so, uh, there will be some Culture Shock.
Claudia will be looking for Blood Donors and at least One Adult (at first) to deflect the fact that she's a small child unsupervised. As she gets used to the setting, she'll probably do away with the pretense of being merely mortal. She can drink from someone without killing them. Anyone wanna sign up? :D
As for me, I'm a nurse working evening shift, in the US Central time zone. I'm on Plurk at 'southernmoonshine' but evenings I work I'm also on Discord at 'southernmoonshine#3130', I do not bite, I'm very nice, I love answering weird RP medical questions, I know weird biology facts. We're here to see what recovery for him looks like on a whimsically horror-filled cruise ship :3 We're also here to find out what name he winds up going by, because real names are hard sometimes, and he's wound up with a different name in almost every game I've played him in.
As for myself, I'm a middle-aged accountant with three cats (two elderly gentleman and one demonic lady) living in SoCal. I tend to tag more on weekdays than weekends, except during month-end close (first week of the month, or thereabouts) which is hell week for me. Ohai! I'm KaOS, and I bring the (technically) older Crain twin, Luke, from Haunting of Hill House! Luke's been haunted by ghost-induced trauma since he was six and tried to solve the problem with alcohol and heroin. He's been in and out of rehab for the past 6 years but he's finally been clean for 92 days! He's proud of himself. And then his sister died and the ghosts started harassing him again and then he went home where the house made him overdose so that's...fun. He's going to be struggling hard right now so friends are always a great thing.
As for me, I'm KaOs, I go by she/her, my timezone is EST and we're currently having a lovely ice blizzard so that's fun. I'm a medical assistant at a primary physician office and a former paramedic so feel free to harass me with medical questions. I love them. I'm a horror nut and currently 3d puzzle enthusiast, and I mostly tag on the weekends due to the work schedule but I try to sneak stuff in during the week too. For those of you familiar with the game, she's a high-humanity dom Malkavian and her character stats are available here. Importantly, she will probably be looking for blood donors pretty fast, because she won't necessarily trust the blood that's being given out freely. But fear not! Diana never kills! And being bitten by a Cainite is a highly pleasurable experience...which means she'll mostly be looking for victims who are 21+. Bonus points if you're an attractive dude, because Diana took the 1960s very seriously.
