Handwaved CR Meme

The passengers have been living on this ship for a while now, and it's likely that they've fallen into certain habits and routines. Little things have become part of their day, from lunch dates with friends, to quiet nights in the library, or long-standing blood feuds. Even the newest passengers have likely found themselves some common haunts and familiar faces. This is a meme to talk about, flesh out, and collaborate on some of those behind-the-scenes moments and routines!

1. Post a comment with your character, and give us an idea of what sort of things they get up to around the ship! Be as detailed or as vague as you'd like.
2. Talk about what kind of handwaved CR you can inspire! Is your character the type to stop and chat with friends on the promenade? Are they consistently the highest score on multiple arcade cabinets? IDK, you tell me!
3. When you look at other characters' routines, you might notice some moments that line up! Even if your characters are total strangers, they might see each other at the buffet every day, or maybe they're unwittingly competing for the high score on DDR. And close CR might mean weekly dinners, book clubs, sparring sessions every morning... like I said, this is where you shine!!
4. This is also a good chance to handwave characters exchanging contact information, generating some more inbox threads!

TLDR: write about your character's life on the ship and then compare notes with other people, find CR, ???, profit

I'd absolutely love for Ossie and Diana to meet + talk over piano! Ossie is definitely familiar with both showtunes and oldies, and I think there'd be some really interesting and neat CR with their shared experiences that I'd want to explore!

fio-chan...!! i think like most people hiyori is soft on children, and he's noted in canon as being very good with them so he would probably spend time with her if he saw her around... he's the type who will read and play games with you, but he's also a storyteller who will think of short little tales for her and draw pictures to accompany them... his can be dark but he'd stick to gentler and kinder ones for her.

that said he's always around at odd hour so especially if he caught her in the middle of the night hiyori is the type to get some hot chocolate with her and keep her company until she gets sleepy, and see her back to her room... he's v much a big brother type.

Oswald Wuthridge, Cabin 123

-Oswald is a social butterfly the likes of which I cannot ever hope to actually keep up with in-game so THERE WILL BE A LOT OF HAND-WAVING

-Ossie spends most of his nights in any of the bars, talking to anyone sitting by themselves. Conversation is light, pleasant, and very rarely dips into discussing himself if at all possible
-He has a fairly good tolerance for alcohol and so will appoint himself the equivalent of designated driver if asked (or not)
-Flirting! Oh god the flirting. Ossie's happily taken romantically but he's cleared for casual dalliances with whoever, or even just flirting for the fun of it.
-Ossie can also be found very often at Chatterbox and John's. He has a lovely singing voice and is more than competent at the piano, and he takes requests! Except 'shut up', that will just get him to play and sing louder.
-Ossie shreds at DDR do not @ me
-Anyone can also run into Ossie at any of the dining establishments aboard the ship. Really there's no reason for your character not to have run into Ossie at some point.

Darcy LeJeune, cabin 121

-Darcy's daily routine mostly centers around training eating and sleeping, with few deviations
-Since reconciling after their fight, Darcy can be found on the Sports Deck training with Izzy, by herself, or training others.
-Darcy can also routinely be found in the gym; she does weightlifting, boxing, and general exercise nerd bullshit
-Some evenings Darcy will patrol the ship, just to keep an eye out for trouble. She's also designated herself as one of the greeters for new arrivals, so she does rounds through the cabin hallway/on deck where the muster drill happens every so often
-In what spare time she has, Darcy tends to climb/teleport to rooftops in order to listen to music/read/brood
-Occasionally she and Undine will have lunch or dinner dates or go for boba. This is very cute.
-Any close CR can also expect to get occasional texts asking to hang out/bitching/gossiping about shit. She's a teenager she's always on that phone

They probably don't talk a lot, bit given Ava and Pal are both coffee shop and library lurkers, they probably see each other regularly! Pal would not politely to her, but generally leave her alone. Also, all of his books and weird science-y notes won't help diminish her assumption that he's a mad scientist in the making.

ever since they talked about sanctuary moon skulduggery's wanted to watch some, so maybe mb has shown him a few episodes???

they probably have spent time in the library together, just doing their own things in each other's presence too

going forward after the island i can definitely see skulduggery trying to aim for more interactions that are quiet and relatively free of questions too. mb got him feeling a certain way about how he handles friendships and he wants to do better, ok :(

(assumedly hamu is okay with it) you KNOW skulduggery's started making random appearances at dinner with fio since ava mentioned it. (i think that was post-diner/pre-heist) guaranteed he'll join any time either of them ask as well

guess who she might wake up to in the library sometimes??? that's right, this guy, just reading his books like his jacket isn't tucked up over her shoulders

they already have tons of cr so these are just kinda fluffy bits haha

if skulduggery sees giles picking up a book that he recognizes, he might give some unprompted suggestions for other books like it. this goes especially for the horror genre!!!

also he fucking knows that cat is a person, he doesn't trust that shit one second. definitely has just suspiciously watched him for a minute before shaking his head. keep your secrets, cat...

skulduggery doesn't drink, but he's definitely stopped by john's when phil's playing. he doesn't know how to play himself, but he likes watching someone at the piano

also can he fly still, i dont know how wings work but i know he got a chonker ripped out of one during the zombie attack... if so/whenever/if ever that becomes a thing i definitely could see random fly-bys happening like when they first met lol

Ruby will definitely be trying to keep up with Maeve fairly regularly, she might pop to her table at breakfast sometimes and stuff like that, and sometimes she'll hop on into the pool too. You may have been lowkey reverse adopted Maeve.
