Handwaved CR Meme

The passengers have been living on this ship for a while now, and it's likely that they've fallen into certain habits and routines. Little things have become part of their day, from lunch dates with friends, to quiet nights in the library, or long-standing blood feuds. Even the newest passengers have likely found themselves some common haunts and familiar faces. This is a meme to talk about, flesh out, and collaborate on some of those behind-the-scenes moments and routines!

1. Post a comment with your character, and give us an idea of what sort of things they get up to around the ship! Be as detailed or as vague as you'd like.
2. Talk about what kind of handwaved CR you can inspire! Is your character the type to stop and chat with friends on the promenade? Are they consistently the highest score on multiple arcade cabinets? IDK, you tell me!
3. When you look at other characters' routines, you might notice some moments that line up! Even if your characters are total strangers, they might see each other at the buffet every day, or maybe they're unwittingly competing for the high score on DDR. And close CR might mean weekly dinners, book clubs, sparring sessions every morning... like I said, this is where you shine!!
4. This is also a good chance to handwave characters exchanging contact information, generating some more inbox threads!

TLDR: write about your character's life on the ship and then compare notes with other people, find CR, ???, profit

Fio | Room 116

Fashion - Fio's usual everyday wear is a black jumper dress with a white blouse. Her preferred colors are white, black, and gold, if she can get her hands on dresses in those color schemes. Other days she may be wearing the pink, checkered, and blue dresses that she picked up at the diner excursion. Or a very colorful flowery-patterned dress from the infinite Tommy Bahama. She always wears a capacity core attached to her left wrist, given to her by Jade. And a friendship bracelet from Darcy.

Plush Companions, Judith & Calcite (Nicknamed "Judy" and "Callie") - During the daytime, she will sometimes be accompanied by two stuffed animals: a teddy bear named Judith and a dragon named Calcite. Sometimes they are floating. Sometimes they'll not be floating and set aside like normal toys or in one arm. Both can be present. Or it's one or the other. It depends how I feel. In the case Fio happens to be awake and wandering in the evening, there will always be at least one stuffed animal present. They can also shoot if she tells them to. (Rita has also recently handed down her Estelle plushie to Fio... so if she can find a way to attach the doll to the back of her dragon plush, she might be bringing a third doll along with her in the future!)

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner - She usually abides by a set schedule for breakfast and dinner, because she tries to be a good little girl that eats all her meals and gets in all her hours of sleep. She wakes up in the morning for breakfast. Lunchtimes vary. Around 6PM, she has dinner together with Ava. She gets ready for bedtime around 8PM or 9PM. This is assuming she hasn't had any sleeping problems.

She's a very friendly child, so she may happily greet your character "Good morning!" in the hallway and tell them, "Good night!" on the way back to her cabin.

Nightmares? - She has sporadic nightmares and will occasionally wake up in a cold sweat or tears. In canon, she has nightmares every night but it's pretty much watered down here to being more random because the player can't handle that much. Clearly Fio is more powerful than I am! Mostly these are handwaved or they're mentioned in a sentence or two in brackets. Or they're referenced in prompts. On some rare evenings or in the middle of the night, she can be found wandering aimlessly on the ship with her dolls.

Occasionally, she can be heard humming to herself some of the tunes that Skulduggery hummed to her when helping lull her to sleep on some nights. She hums more upbeat versions in the daytime when she's in a better mood. After being introduced to the aranara during the beach excursion, she might also be found singing their songs!

Library, Sand Dollars - In the library, she mainly reads children's picture books or may be found drawing. She likes most stories, as long as they have happy endings. She sometimes reads the same book over and over. If not the library, she can also be found sitting at Sand Dollars with a mug of hot cocoa. When she isn't drawing or reading, she may be working on making 1000 cranes since Natsuno taught and told her that it'll grant a wish! Her project to wish for everyone's happiness will probably be finished by next year...

Gym, Sports Deck - Once a week, she'll practice some basic ballet moves, usually in the gym. She doesn't have a ballet teacher, so she mostly practices the same moves by memory. Or on the sports deck, when she wants to be under the sun. Sometimes she'll watch other people practice.

Around! - She roams around pretty much everywhere with her dolls and likes to pretend that she's exploring! Kid things like jumping over cracks, dodging "lava" on the floor, maybe pretending she's exploring an abandoned ruin or something! She'll talk out loud to her plushies when she's alone, like they're companions. She similarly treats the infinite Tommy Bahama like a playground and tries to run towards the endless back wall because that's fun to her. Feel free to come fish her out!

I might be forgetting some stuff, but this is most of what I can think of at the moment...

Polly is enthusiastically waiting for Fio to come to the gym so that they can work on their ballet and boxing together, Cassie too will be there to cheer them on.

Yesss! Excited to have Fio slowly get into fighting form... and performance ready of course. We can assume the boxing stuff happens the same days she shows up to do some ballet once a week. Oh yeah, if you find threadhopping opportunities in any of my threads in the future, the Dioscuri are free to do so!

And I see Polly likes holding hands!!! If she holds her hand out to Fio she will very gladly take it.

That works well with me! If you ever want to do threads with their training days, then that sounds good to me too! She would love to see Fio become the best ballerboxer she can be, and I've let Cassie know that we're free to threadhop! I would love to get Fio with both of them because they equally love kids, they're like super lame about it so it'd be a cute thread for Fio, I promise!

Aw, please!! She loves to hold even though she's not supposed to be touching because she's a goddess, but sometimes!! A lil holding never hurts so yes, please offer up your hand to Polly.

Also, this stocking was meant for Fio, but as you see... the dreams were taken, so I hope she doesn't mind an assortment of candy and hand written notes of dreams, and a snow globe in its place.

Omg the stocking... UGH THAT'S SO CUTE and thoughtful even if the dreams aren't in it!!! I saw that on the Regains request early on tbh and I was like "aw if only Fio could have those-" lmao. She's going to treasure the snow globe and read the written notes before bedtime. She'll still have nightmares of course lol but she'll still love the notes. :c And I can see her wanting to share the candies... and taking her time eating them. She's a good girl who needs to avoid cavities.

I KNOWWWW I WAS LIKE I WANT FIO TO HAVE THIS SOOOOOO BAD, and then the dreams were eaten. I tried so hard for my daughter, I did! It's okay, it's Fate... there has to be more dream things that I can get her, we will be trying to get her good dreams! When Pollux finds out that she only has nightmares... it will be a little mission for her. Ah... she's so cute, you know what... Castor and Pollux will make this stocking super cute for her, just you wait!!

Want to handwave Nobunaga practicing dance with her under the sun? He hasn't worked out the whole gym thing yet. So sports deck for him all the way. And he will teach her anything she wants to know. (16th century dance - though mind like a steel trap so he even knows some European stuff, and once he learns something, he abuses it forever.)

He might also teach her some fan things if she wants to know -- and its part of his pwn dances. Not just language but self defense, because that is very normal to teach children ok.

fio-chan...!! i think like most people hiyori is soft on children, and he's noted in canon as being very good with them so he would probably spend time with her if he saw her around... he's the type who will read and play games with you, but he's also a storyteller who will think of short little tales for her and draw pictures to accompany them... his can be dark but he'd stick to gentler and kinder ones for her.

that said he's always around at odd hour so especially if he caught her in the middle of the night hiyori is the type to get some hot chocolate with her and keep her company until she gets sleepy, and see her back to her room... he's v much a big brother type.

hiyoyo!! fio's nightmares are always depressing stories... so she tries to focus thinking about happy things! she'll appreciate happy little tales and pictures from him. happy things to think about before bedtime... even though it wont give her happy dreams no matter what, sob. STILL she'll love to hear/see it.

she'll give the usual "just a bad dream haha" just like what normal people have! and not elaborate much if they run into each other. she'd love the company walking back to her room!!!

Ruby thinks Fio's very sweet from their one thread so she's definitely friendly when she sees her around. If she sees her late at night again she'll probably see if she wants company, and in the library she might have shown her from of the stories/fairy tales from her world that have good endings?

I've been wanting to get another thread with these two again, so hopefully we can have them interacting again more soon!!! Fio will always enjoy friendly company at night and just avoid talking about bad things, lol. And she'd love to hear stories from Ruby's world.

Yes soon!! There'll definitely be new chances. And Ruby at least has a very solid bank of stories with happy endings to fall back on once she taps into things that are actual stories and not just her life, lmao

i'd like to say that skulduggery checks on fio usually around bedtime, especially if they haven't seen each other much during the day. and any time she texts or calls him after a nightmare, he'll be there with a story or a new song or something to help distract her and get her back to sleep :(

i mentioned it on ava's thing but i think skulduggery would pop by for those dinners with ava sometimes

he also always has time for her, so if they see each other while she's running around, he'll spend literally hours with her if she requests it

Yes to all of this! She'll be happy to see him at the dinners! At most, I see her calling Duggy at least once to twice a week after a nightmare. Even when it's a thing that actually bothers her most of the time, she refrains from calling him TOO much... :( Also I wanna say she sends him texts that are just: "Good morning! ☀️"

And obviously Fio will always grab his hand when she's running around the ship! If he catches her running around in the middle of the night, she'll do the same and quietly walk around with him for a few hours until she's too tired to stay awake. By then she'll request to be carried back to the cabin because she's getting less shy asking for that...

OMG they can exchange good morning texts, that's so cute :( and absolutely yes, they can talk about her day and any interesting books they've read, he'd probably try to avoid talking about the whole Situation too much because he doesn't want her to worry...

Definitely plays with Fio when he happens to catch her. On more than one occasion he comes to her with snacks and water, usually fruit. Always says good morning and goodnight back.

Cuuute! Better for her to eat fruits than cakes all the time, lol. He can entertain her with ice powers too. And! I was wondering around what time can she find Phil at John's? It's not one of her frequent places but she might poke her head in there sometimes to listen.

Number 6 probably joins her and Ava for dinner sometimes or at least says hi. He probably claps for her when she practices dancing in the gym too. C:

He'll get a very excited "Hi Mr. Smith!" greeting at dinner! The clapping might embarrass her at first but she'll get used to it quickly. It'll make her happy!

She can melt his heart instantly every time. She is precious and he will do anything to make her happier. She's got a direct line to his heartstrings.
