MARCH EVENT INFO POST: A SOUND OF THUNDER

man, it’s sure been a wild couple of months, huh? Fio has been having weird dreams. a mirror ate Bash. Crabb touched some stuff. Ava and Pratt fed Ebalon’s corpse to a ghost. wild stuff.

anyway, entirely unrelated, there’s suddenly giant holes in reality everywhere?

that’s normal. that’s probably fine. it’s friendly.

WELCOME TO MEMSHARE EVENT BUT BUILT DIFFERENT! throughout the month of March, large cracks will begin to form around the Serena Eterna: on walls, on floors, in the air, under water, anywhere and everywhere. these cracks are completely benign until touched; anyone who touches one will find themselves pulled inside, along with anyone standing too close to them.

inside, they will find themselves in the middle of a fellow passenger’s memory - physically. they will be able to interact with the world of the memory, and those inside it will react to them and their actions. what they do in the memory will have a lasting impact: namely, if you die in the memory, you die in real life, and the new memory formed by their actions will join the existing memory inside the memory-owner’s, well, memory.

super confusing and weird, right? let’s try to explain this through an example.

a crack forms, containing Jack’s memory of the day he and Jill went up the hill. the crack, at separate times, is touched by Tom, alone, and Dick and Harry, together. while in the memory, Tom saves Jack when he falls down in the hill; meanwhile, Dick and Harry are killed when Tom and Jill collide with them, killing them both. Tom leaves the memory unscathed, while Dick and Harry revive in their cabins, thankful that they seem to have been spared the Dumb Death Tax.

from that point on, until otherwise noted, Jack will have three separate memories of the same event: falling down and breaking his crown, being saved by Tom, and dying. despite the fact that these three memories are very much mutually exclusive, and the fact that Jack also has memories of his life after apparently dying, he will be unable to discern which memory is the true one on his own. they will all feel equally real to him.

(note: this isn’t permanent! probably. you have a chance to fix it! a chance.)

please feel free to use this post for plotting purposes. memories can be shared as many times as you feel you can handle; how they are shared (threading out the interaction, handwaving and just writing the memory and the reaction separately, etc) is entirely up to you.

oh, and one more thing.

there will also be npc memories available. these memories will be much less interactive than passenger ones, but will contain Delicious Lore. sign-up thread below, closes on March 1st. memories will be allocated randomly to no more than one or two characters each.

Giles Plotting

[personal profile] ring_for_giles 2023-02-21 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Giles's memories will primarily be pre-Arcadia with one actually in Arcadia, but I'm open to doing a tailored post-Arcadia pre-Boat memory if anyone is Super Interested in that. In all pre-Arcadia memories Giles will look significantly different, but not totally unrecognisable unlike Ossie. The biggest difference is that he'll be approaching a foot and a half shorter at 5'2

I'm gonna start with a max of 2 threads per memory, and a max of 2 people per thread to begin with. If any of them conclude before the end of the month I might reopen a slot if others are interested

Dot's First Hangover:
Find Giles as he frantically searches for his sister who has not appeared for breakfast. (She's passed out in a bush by the servants' entrance, she's Fine, don't worry about it) The way this goes will probably change a lot depending on whether your character is mistaken for a visiting guest, a new member of staff, or someone else.

Parties:
There's approximately 200 of them spread out over a period of about 5 years. So I think it'll be a different party for each character / set of characters that enter.
Encounter Ginger D'Abernon in his natural habit! See a whole other side of Giles as he pretends to be an upper class layabout. Meet Giles's sister and partner in crime Dot, and her girlfriend Nancy.

Arcadia:
Become a new recruit below stairs in The Master of the House's realm. Try not to die, or Worse while following very strict and only slightly nonsensical rules.
Probably gonna be a Whole Lot of content warnings on this one, Arcadia is Not a fun time

[personal profile] sanctus_dei 2023-02-21 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
HULLO. If anyone, for some reason, wants Theo to see one of their memories and ruin everything, i'd be more than glad to have him do so.

I would love to have one or two visitors max to Theo's memory!

Before this game, Theo was in one called the Return Journey, where he was resurrected from the dead to serve our a prison term to rehabilitate him. It went pretty badly for everyone involved. Theo at one point tried to hatch an escape attempt on his own, wanting to stay on the planet they had stopped at, and it also went pretty badly. Only a few weeks afterwards, the ship (game) closed and Theo was to be transferred to a new prison, but ended up here instead. I'd love to have someone else be there when he tries to escape. Will they help the wardens capture their prisoner, or will they help Theo? Will one of the wardens actually die this time? Why's he in prison in the first place? Fun times!

memshare? trauma dump. ha ha insert a joke about a cw show needing a lot of cw's.... but yeah, below there's a good amount of chatter about torture, war & war crimes, genocide, general violence, child death, and some body horror might even crop up.

a'ite so, i've got a lot of ideas and am tossing them all here on a scale of most interactive to least! for the most interactive possibilities!
The Skybox, aka the prison cell clarke was held in solitary confinement in for about a year. this prompt would be set in space, in a confined room with charcoal drawings across the walls and a great view of the planet earth through a window. also a super prime opportunity for those who know her now to experience the rigid optimism of babyfaced sixteen year old clarke before she ever went to earth
The Second Genocide, aka the death of mount weather. set in an apocalypse bunker control room, come join clarke and two of her friends as they watch their people being rounded up and tortured on live video streams! then with the simple pull of a lever, suddenly get to watch 381 people die from radiation exposure! this would be one of the heaviest memories she's got, and i'm down to make it worse by someone coming in and trying to stop the murderous rescue mission! but also great for any of clarke's general cr who she v pointedly hasn't told these stories to get a chance to see one of her most pivotal moments.
The Feral Redhead Arc, aka any moment in clarke's self imposed exile. watch her kill a mountain lion with just a little shank, sneak around attempting to avoid all human contact bc she's being hunted, or my personal favorite option, watch her try to drown a man.
The City of Light, aka an a.i.'s brainbaby city. spawn right into the city of light alongside clarke griffin, only to eventually be singled out as an intrusive presence and highkey hunted by the hivemind inhabitants who're wearing faces of some people she knows! take the place of the lexa cameo to save her hide, or experience the lexa cameo with her! can even go so far as to watch her pull her third lever to end peace on earth, with a.l.i.e. and becca franco acting like little shoulder devil/angels!
Airlock 5, Oxygen Venting (cw, clip 1 & clip 2), aka the time a mount weather survivor was gonna kill all her friends in front of her while choking her out, and then she kills him with her dead girlfriend's brain chip. ngl i find this scene hard to watch, but ranks high on canon traumatic moments that have haunt her daily so. tentatively offered.
— i have too many ideas but LASTLY! feel compelled to add one not terrible option, so i offer The Completely Headcanoned Early Childhood Memory! Come experience life on the Ark through the eyes of 6-8 year old clarke griffin and her best friend wells jaha! this can include them doing the unity day play, playing soccer with a ball of rags or chess with bottlecaps to make up for the pieces, just chatting, OR my favorite, catch them be a little naughty and trying to open the locked glass container that houses the only books on the ark.

but even the not so interactive prompts i'm primed and READY to write essays about to give your character the most immersive experience possible! for example:
The Fall Of Arkadia
The Hanging Of John Murphy (cw, it's exactly what it sounds like)
The Battle Of The Dropship & The Aftermath (warcrimes cw?? 300+ people get burned to death in this clip. also this could v well become interactive if carried all the way into mount weather quarantine zone)
— hide in the polis throne room while her mindjacked mom tortures her/hangs herself trying to extort information
Running From The Deathwave, or just be in becca's lab when she stumbles in and passes out from radiation exposure (her in game canon point)
— be in the crowd watching The Death of Finn Collins
The Dropship Prisoner Speech (probs closed to teens/young adults who'd blend in with the 100 delinquents)
— ...y'all i could go on forever, seriously. if none of these strike your fancy, hit me up and i can continue to spitball

Since Nobunaga is a walking CW I'll stick his in a separate one 2nd.
At least Rune Factory 4 isn't super extreme, but Dolce is all HAUNTED MANSION and ghosts and End of the World stuff because I play hard I guess.

if you saw the first time i posted this, no you didn't
First Memory: tear is younger and having a good old fashioned teenaged tantrum at her grandfather. it’s all about her wanting to join the military to serve her brother, Van. Grandpa says no!! but how dare he prioritize her safety?? eventually gramps tells her Van also doesn’t want her to join, and they both plan on keeping her in Yulia City away from the military.
--> would be set in the qliphoth, a world under the earth's crust, devoid of sunlight and covered in poisonous miasma and sludge. :) where tear was raised.

Second Memory: tear is even younger than the first memory, still baby talking when she speaks. she heals a flower in front of her brother, who marvels at her ability to use the seventh fonon too. it’s a very joyous moment for the two, and he’s proud of her for having inherited their family’s ability to use the seventh fonon.
--> this happens in a flower garden in their yard. wouldn't have any aggro, just casual and cute.

Third Memory: tear and luke are having a conversation at sunset, after (unintentionally on tear’s part) eavesdropping on their castmate’s romantic moment. they share a moment talking about how luke’s life is his own. it's also kind of romantic, as far as these two go.

Fourth Memory: the team tries to take Jade’s clothing off, inside a volcano. :)b tear stops them, but jade is embarrassed enough to blush.

tbh i am very willing to give more peeks at memories of jade being cute or embarrassed with alice's blessing. B) the resort king costume trauma must be shared

Plotting for NUMBER 6, JOHN CRICHTON, MAX MAXIMUM

[personal profile] be_seeing_you 2023-02-23 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Full disclosure: This won't necessarily be first-come first-serve. Depending on how much interest each one gets, I might have to pick based on what feels like the best CR expansion opportunities. (Or I might just say fuck it and open up more slots.) Comment on the second top-level below to claim your slots

Prisoner Number 6
[cw: Imprisonment, gaslighting, torture, death, violence, drugging]

A. Schizoid Man: Become one of the Villagers and watch as there seem to be two Number 6's competing for dominance with each other. Can you tell which is the true Number 6 and which is the fake? Will you try to help one of them escape? Can you get the real Number 6 to trust you in time? (2 slots)

B. Many Happy Returns: Number 6 awakes to find The Village empty--except for you? Will you be able to convince him you are there to help? Maybe you will join him on the raft he's building in order to sail away. Sit beside him as he tells his harrowing tale to the poor widow he meets living in his own house, and take a spin in his car on London streets. Will you be able to convince him not to try going back to destroy The Village, or will you be there as he realizes with dismay that the lovely widow he met in London was Number 2 all along, and this entire adventure was nothing more than a twisted birthday "gift." (2 slots)

C. Dance Of The Dead: There is a carnival about to take place in The Village. A costume ball where everyone is expected to dress up and dance. But Number 6 has other plans. He's found an unfortunate dead man washed up on the beach and is trying to use what he's found in the man's pocket (a radio) to formulate a new escape plan. Watch as a clever female Number 2 (and her black cat) outsmarts his every move and forces him to run for his life from a mob at the end of the carnival festivities. Will you testify in his defense at his mock tribunal or will you try to help him get free some other way? How does he know he can trust you? (2 slots)

John Crichton
[CW: Imprisonment, gaslighting, torture, death, violence, guns/shootouts, drugging, parental death, disturbing imagery, Harvey]

A. Nerve - A Hidden Memory: Aeryn has been fatally wounded and the only way to save her is for John Crichton to pretend to be a Peacekeeper special officer and infiltrate a Gammak base to find a compatible tissue sample for her. Things don't go as planned. Though he has the help of an old flame (Gilena) and the plucky sidekick Chiana to help him, he finds himself in over his head and captured by a brand new foe, Scorpius.

Scorpius puts Crichton in a torture device that can read his memory and discovers that Crichton has hidden wormhole knowledge locked away behind a complex mental barrier. Scorpius is now determined to do whatever it takes to crack Crichton's mind and extract that knowledge. Aeryn has received the life-saving tissue sample and is now mounting a rescue mission to get Crichton back with the help of Moya's crew... and maybe you? Can you change how the final show-down goes and maybe even save poor Gilena's life? (3 slots)

B. Won't Get Fooled Again: Crichton somehow finds himself back on Earth, waking up in a hospital room after his Farscape-1 mission has apparently failed. But things are not quite right. And they go from weird to weirder as Crichton descends into madness and the world goes Looney Toons all around him. His crew of Moya all start to show up on Earth, but they act as if they've been there all along. Then, Scorpius shows up, but he is not who he seems. This is where Harvey receives his name after he makes himself known trying to save Crichton's life... and sanity. Will you try to help Harvey in his mission of waking Crichton up from his delusions, even if it means tolerating that neural clone bastard? That's assuming he will tolerate you. (3 slots)

Max Maximum
[CW: Slavery, Imprisonment, blood, gore, burning alive, death, non-con, dub-con, leash/collar, vampire bullshit, torture]

A. College Party - That Fateful Night: Witness Max before his name was Max. A baby-faced, tall but way less muscled version of the boy you know and love is enjoying himself at a New Year's Eve frat party. Hang out and drink with him, watch him show off the new cooking torch he got as a birthday gift from his dad, and... maybe don't let him go down in the basement with that shady-looking lady who's flirting a little too hard with him. If you don't stop him in time, Max will be forced to re-live the fight for his life where he ultimately survives but loses his entire life to his brand new vampire master, Lord Erik Osborne. Can you change his fate? What if you kill that vampire woman instead? Maybe you will end up in servitude in Max's place. (3 slots)

B. Vampire Balls: Vampires like to socialize too. You will find yourself an unintended guest to a fancy gala being attended by a mix of powerful vampire Elders, lesser vampire underlings, support staff, human (and supernatural humans called Mediums) IOPSA (International Office of Paranormal and Supernatural Affairs) agents, and some major political and economic players for a special ball being held in Virginia. Max is in attendance with his master, Lord Erik Osborne. He is at the end of a short leather leash and wearing a collar. He isn't the only one. There are other human "Pets" around too, all of them similarly dressed in the most dashing of outfits and being led around on leashes. There's a party table with a mixture of real food and blood refreshments, although it's clear from the looks some of these vampires are casting about at the humans, that some of them are expecting their drinks to be a lot fresher. Will you try to blend in? Dare you try to speak to Max or his master? Be careful not to cause a scene. These balls are a delicate political affair and one wrong move could spell disaster. (3 slots)

Got a handful of ideas for Jade here! Some are more concrete than others, and the final list of event prompts might end up being smaller. May throw up another comment with other ideas as they come to me. Bit of a mix and match of canon-established events and headcanon scenarios; will probably end up playing things by ear wrt number of takers per memory and such, but let's see...!

Unsettling Genius Child Era:
- Necromancy origin point: At around the age of 12, Jade accidentally kills his own teacher by attempting a fonic arte beyond his capacity, and then tries to resurrect her by magically cloning her right afterwards with utterly disastrous results. Needless to say, this is a pretty load-bearing core memory for Jade, as this incident has shaped a countless number of his life choices ever since, and was the jumping-off point of his spiral into future years of attempted necromancy. Pretty bad time, quite traumatic! Chances of collateral visitor death are moderately high depending on how they might decide to tackle this memory as it unfolds; I don't mind laying out the specific details of how death could potentially happen if desired for planning, though just diving in and seeing what happens is always a valid option too ofc. I think I'd prefer that Sail!Jade not be present for this one.
- Hands-on biology research, A Very Normal Child Thing: Catch an even younger Jade engaging in one of his past favorite hobbies on the snowy outskirts of his hometown--practicing killing passing monsters with fonic artes, and then taking them apart to study their anatomy! He'd probably be around 8 or 9 years old here. Visitors would possibly be inclined to help with dispatching the monsters, but this kid's gonna want to dissect them afterwards and it's probably gonna be off-putting
- Religious daytrip with adoptive family: Least traumatizing/horrible youth option?! The Curtiss family were very devout followers of the Order of Lorelei; after being adopted by House Curtiss in his teens, Jade's newer parents would often take him on pilgrimages in the country of Daath, to visit stone monuments scattered throughout the countryside and pray/ponder upon their inscriptions of the Score and Lorelei's history. Visit Jade in a memory of one of these trips, where he's frankly bored out of his skull and looking for any excuse to drift off/potentially interact with an interesting stranger or two? Could be an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the prophecy-based religion of Jade's homeland, and how heavy a hand it had on the lives of everyone who lived by it! Jade hasn't talked about it very much in Sail for...several reasons, but this could be a good time to get that ball rolling whether he likes it or not lmao. Ofc you could also just experience an adolescent Jade in general here! (Before he starts really getting into the War Crimes smh--) He'd be about 14 or 15

Speaking of war crimes! Young Adult Necromancy Era: Jade's around 19-21 for these. Just lil early adulthood things...
- He picks at corpses on battlefields, and has soldiers with dead men's faces in his ranks: Honestly pretty much what it says on the tin! The corpse-picking would continue being a widely-circulated rumor in the military sphere for years, and it actually wasn't completely unfounded. I'm thinking of possibly a memory set during the Hod War here, almost immediately after a particularly nasty engagement, where Jade's scouring the battlefield afterwards for Malkuth soldier corpses intact enough to extract replica data. Try not to get mistaken for a straggling surviving Kimlascan soldier or something, though! Passing off your case as a lost and confused civilian near-casualty might work, if you do catch attention.
- This sure is some human experimentation: Aka just what it is that Jade proceeds to do with that harvested replica data! This would be a memory set in a military academy lab containing a machine that can facilitate fomicry--the magic cloning Jade's been trying to refine ever since he killed his teacher. Watch Jade and a team of fellow scientists as they create living human clones, assess whether they've retained memories of their originals which they never do, and decide whether they're stable enough for testing or need to be disposed! Fair warning, though: this is an Imperially-sanctioned classified project, which means that noticed intruders may be apprehended and arrested on suspicion of espionage if caught. There might be a few hiding places in the lab, though, or maybe you'd like to try your hand at passing for a lab tech yourself...?

Moderately More Chill Recent Adult Era: Age 23 onwards, by which point Jade has finally given up on fomicry, and most closely resembles his present-day self.
- Grand Chokmah vibing: idk it might be nice for visitors to have a tour of Malkuth's "floating capital", Grand Chokmah! Where Jade used to live, before Sail happened :') It's a beautiful medieval-fantasy-ish city suspended over water adjacent to the sea, and runs on an elaborate system of aqueducts. The Imperial palace can readily be found at its center! For a fleshier visitor experience maybe it can be a memory where Jade's attending a party for some occasion on the palace grounds and there's an attempt to assassinate the Emperor that needs foiling or smth...
- Wanna meet his original teens? Or at least spot one of them??? Insert actual canon game events here?! The struggle with jrpg stories is that they often involve a myriad cast of characters that are together for most events lmao, which makes a lot of scenes rather daunting to npc. If people might want to see Jade interacting with his gaggle of Original Youths from a distance, though, I could try to whip up something! Could even just be an eavesdropped silly or heartwarming convo. Like shenanigans with Tear, or a particular talk he has with Luke (aka his OG not!son) about killing people and their differences in handling it, etc...

Whether or not Sail!Jade could be along for the ride is up in the air with most of these memories! When it comes to his more unfortunate memories especially, Sail!Jade may be prone to fixation on his past self with an alarmingly murderous sort of intent, which is, probably fine, don't worry about that........anyway yes, lmk where preferences in this vein might be! Also, if you've got ideas for other potential memories/scenarios feel free to drop them in here :)b

Dimitri memshare plotting

[personal profile] prince_of_beasts 2023-02-24 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
This won't be first-come-first-serve; rather, whatever's most interesting as a scene. I likely won't have room for too many threads, and I'll prioritize existing CR, though I won't say no to ideas from new CR. HMU here or on Discord (bird#9111) for plotting!

1. Stepmother (no cws)
A lighter memory, though melancholy. A very young Dimitri turns to his stepmother after his father returns from a campaign in the north, full of stories of battlefield heroics that Dimitri finds much more upsetting than exciting. Patricia can't change an entire culture, but she reassures Dimitri that his distress is normal.
  • This memory will be less interactive; interruption will be met with "who are you and how did you get in here"
  • But it's a chance for his CR to glimpse a more positive version of why he's Like That, so I still wanted to include it.
2. Fhirdiad (no cws)
Another lighter memory. Ten-year-old Dimitri. A noble girl his age is visiting from Adrestia, the nation to the south. They've quickly become close friends, with the other girl being more assertive and forceful (in a ten-year-old way) than Dimitri. While Dimitri hasn't spoken of her in-game, this was an important if brief friendship for him, and it's one of his few pre-trauma memories that remains clear.
  • For the less canon-blind: his friend is baby Edelgard.
  • Strangers won't be remarkable in this memory, though they'll be regarded with the same confusion/suspicion with which ten-year-olds regard older strangers.
  • Baby Dimitri!
3. Gwenhwyvar foothills (cw: genocide aftermath, gaslighting, forced sedation)
Dimitri's thirteen. He's in an infirmary at the base of the mountains that make up the Faerghus-Duscur border, having just witnessed a double dose of mass murder. He's freshly traumatized, badly injured, feverish, and desperate to make anyone listen to his witness, which they won't. Doctors keep sedating him because the badly injured child really needs to lie the fuck down, which he won't.
  • This memory in particular I'm restricting to prior CR.
  • This memory will also feature fourteen-year-old Dedue, as discussed with his player.
  • Strangers will raise suspicion, but this is an emergency encampment and there's a lot of strangers around. Assert enough authority and a doctor or nurse will probably assume you're meant to be there.
  • Dimitri will be paranoid and angry, but he'll be more receptive to a stranger who sides with him.
  • Includes a chance to meet Dimitri's godfather, Rodrigue, freshly mourning his son and his lover king and dear friend, and/or his mentor&tutor Gustave, a sopping wet sadsack of a man!
4. Battle in the west (cw: gore; I'll adjust gnarliness/explicit detail to player comfort.)
Dimitri's fifteen. You know what a 15-year-old with PTSD needs? To be sent out as a commander in a civil war. That sounds fine and normal. Definitely not an attempt to get him killed. He's a shockingly competent commander for a 15-year-old, at least until his berserker side activates and he starts tearing through infantry like soggy cardboard.
  • This memory takes place on a battlefield, and will involve combat. Dimitri himself probably won't try to kill you, but if you get in his way, all bets are off.
  • Involves Dimitri's near-death.
  • Characters who've heard about his ex-best-friend Felix, who hates him now -- meet Felix, also 15! And find out why firsthand!

Crabb Plotting

[personal profile] pointofhonoria 2023-02-24 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
- 4v1 Fight: Seen Here. Crabb gets accosted by a bunch of legbreakers whilst she's investigating the site of a burned down orphanage their boss's prodigy went to. She does her best but ultimately gets her ass thoroughly handed to her, because it's not exactly a fair fight. Usually saved by the kid running off to get the headmaster, Tom Broadfoot, and it's a weird little meet-cute for them. Either leave her to get her ass beat, be a distraction, step in to help before Broadfoot arrives, step in when he does, who knows.

- Prosperity Bridge: Seen Here and Here. A bridge known for being a playground for rich socialites is collapsed out from under tens if not hundreds of people by the Black Note. Whilst Crabb's good friend Bastrop/Lavender Jack fights the Note, Crabb attempts to evacuate the bridge with no success. In the real memory Crabb saves four people in her car, barely, then walks home and has that fateful talk with her ex/the Note in disguise. Maybe you help evacuate people, maybe you become another person she saves, maybe you die in the collapse, maybe you refuse to let her walk home alone.

- Margrave Ballroom Fundraiser Event: Seen Here. A fancy event run out of Johnny's Margrave building, where two of Gallery's corrupt politicians are playing nice for the public and giving a cheque to the orphanage's headmaster. Crabb's out on a sort of date with him. Mill around Gallery high-society, listen as the rich speculate about the Black Note and Lavender Jack, nose in on Crabb's conversations, interrupt her, spill a drink on Tom if you realise who he is, whatever.

- Intruder in Bastrop Manor: It's you. You're the intruder. It's the early hours of the morning in the Manor and Ducky/Crabb are playing chess whilst they wait for Bastrop to return from a mission. No one else is supposed to be there. They will react accordingly.

I can also attempt to dig up other options, but there aren't a huge amount of options that keep the detail of the intended memory once interrupted. But if you want to see something pre-canon with a younger Crabb, or during the two years she was living in Johnny's building working as a detective with Ferrier, I can come up with something.

Arthur Plotting

[personal profile] theotherright 2023-02-24 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Righto, here's some scenarios:

1. Come and have a bad time on an island! It's night, the whole place is a graveyard, and there's something spooky afoot. An npc already died and you might too! Or maybe you'll let a paranoid blind(??) man drag you into a safe-ish house to interrogate your motives. The killer ghosts might start to seem like a treat in comparison. (Featuring John as a seeing-eye voice in Arthur's head!)

2. Come and have a nice time on a train! Arthur was pretty sure he booked a private car, but uh, you're here, so apparently not. He's got his three-year-old daughter with him and she's so freaking cute. Be prepared for him to do nothing but talk about work and brag about his super awesome daughter who rules and is the best.

3. Come and have a.............. time! It's the USA in the pits of the Depression, and Arthur (and partner!) are noir detectives. Unfortunately, you're right in the middle of the weird house they're investigating, and you'd better think of an excuse for that pretty quick. Prepare to meet the store-brand Sam Spades of Arkham.

These are all open, but I'll only want one or two on each so that I don't bite off more elephant than I can chew :v
tempingainteasy: face blank except for a pair of detailed eyes and eyebrows for glaring with (Angry Eyes)

April Caouette

[personal profile] tempingainteasy 2023-03-07 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I know i just put in for hiatus but my workplace is driving me insane which means it's time for April

Memory 1 and 2) A day in the bunker. April is in a small room surrounded by dozens of banker boxes and empty shelves/dozens of empty banker boxes and full shelves/in a tiny office with an outdated computer and a stack of papers/in front of a large bank of filing cabinets. April is also yelling angrily about work, and you have to either listen to that or find a way out of the room. May include a surprise twist.

Or, catch April and their work friend Flan doing inventory in the store room of Weird Objects we found on investigations!

Memory 3) once upon a time in the early 20th century, April wanted to travel south and so hitched a ride with a circus of Weird Uncanny Things. They're the same genre of monster, after all, it shouldn't be too hard, right?

Hah. Ha Ha. Ha Ha ha

Tourist photography and the like is on a small fraction of the job. The rest of earning one's keep comes from doing the far less flattering menial tasks behind a circus, even one that's not right. If you want to know if April was joking about needing to feed the clowns, you can find out here! Or you'll just shovel imitation elephant pellets. Or help fire proofing the tigers. Or, or, or, or, whatever the regular circus staff tell you guys to do. Help April in whatever way you deem most merciful.

Memory 4) I really want to do one from April's EARLY early days in the 1800s but I'm still working on this one, I'll get back to it later. Yes you can reply to this comment anyway, i'll just edit the prompt into the open post if it ever comes to me. thumbsup.
