Daily Routines & Handwaved CR Meme, VOLUME 4: this time it's PLOT-SONAL
Get it? Like "personal," but PLOT... Oh, don't give me that look!
The Serena Eterna has some fun new idiosyncrasies these days, from repairs becoming monthly to food being in inconvenient supply, but routines are routines, baby! Standing dinner dates with friends, favorite hangouts, and extremely rational blood feuds are common occurrences for people who have been living at sea for upwards of a year now! And even new passengers may find themselves with their own habits, if they haven't been absorbed into those of their fellow passengers.
This meme is here to help flesh out the background moments that help fuel character relationships. Post your characters and their routines, then see who else might be stalking the buffet at 2 AM or who you might run into on laundry day. After all, the ship is home to a whole host of strange people; you're rarely the only one around.
- Post a comment with your character's name & cabin number in the header, and give us an idea of what sort of things they get up to around the ship! Be as detailed or as vague as you'd like.
- Talk about what kind of handwaved CR you might inspire! Is your character the type to stop and chat with friends on the promenade? Are they consistently the highest score on multiple arcade cabinets? IDK, you tell us!
- When you look at other characters' routines, you might notice some moments that line up! Even if your characters are total strangers, they might see each other at the buffet every day, or maybe they're unwittingly competing for the high score on DDR. And close CR might mean weekly dinners, book clubs, sparring sessions every morning... like I said, this is where you shine!!
- This is also a good chance to handwave characters exchanging contact information, generating some more inbox threads!
TLDR: write about your character's life on the ship and then compare notes with other people, find CR and plot hooks, ???, profit
(Last meme, for those who might need it!)

He'd probably need to catch wind of it somehow or be asked about it by an existing patrol member to become aware of the fact that this is apparently a whole scheduled Thing, but he'd not mind contributing in the least!

Natsuno Yuuki, cabin 109
Ever since June, he was downgraded into a "regular" shiki, which means he's a classic undead vampire with no special daywalker privileges. He's active from sunset to sunrise and spend most daylight hours sleeping in a blackout tent Rita made him. He can no longer eat and only drinks blood (and occasionally other clear liquids like tea for flavor). If he's up during the day, he mostly stays indoors looking tired and sleepy. The "downgrade" will last at least until the July excursion and after that, we'll see!
He turns 17 in July, so that's a thing too. Not that he'll ever grow old.
Routine
- Natsuno's most common haunts are the library, pool deck where he has movie nights, the arcade and Sand Dollars
- Practices shooting his gun on the sports deck at least once a week
- Just regained a magic sword, so catch him on the sports deck swinging it like he has no clue. But hey, the swings make a cool light show!
- Team mutiny and tired
PLOTTING
- I really want to expand Natsuno's CR circle! He has a lot of acquaintances and some people he considers allies, but his close friends circle is very small and tight and I'd like him to branch out some more. Gets along with murder teens, morally questionable adults and kind immortals.
- I feel like I need some help pushing him back into the plot. The way things are currently he's likely to take a step back while other people volunteer to excursions. I am planning to find ways to get him back into the Horrors after July, but I could use ideas and hooks on how to pry him out of his insular dissociation and shake things up.

Also, the magic sword might draw his attention, as might spending time in the arcade.

Giles, cabin 140
He's in the library every couple of days, picking out some new reading material, occasionally staying there for a few hours to read. While there, he'll happily discuss the books he's read with acquaintances and friends alike.
He can also be found out on the deck occasionally. Reading, writing, or simply people-watching, and won't mind a conversation to pass the time.
Mr Ainsel, the little tuxedo cat, as always can be found in the library at least once a week, curled up on a chair napping, or seeking out people who are troubled (especially those dealing with anxiety of some form) to cuddle up with.

Also I've been thinking about tossing Voyager at Phil fairly soon too, to at least offer him a nice lil guy in these trying times...?! Idk I feel like maybe down the line there's something they could potentially mutually discuss/bond over eventually wrt Never Going Home and How To Accept That...if you'd be interested in smth along those lines maybe! Rip Phil getting worse every month in this horror jamjar environment, somebody anybody pls help this man :(

zelos | cabin 110
- Zelos can be found spending time at the bars, lounging around the pool (probably in a speedo), arcade and the library.
- he will also frequent the infirmary since he has a few healing artes under his belt!! please call him doctor wilder, it has such a nice ring to it. ♥
- you may also catch him practicing flamboyant moves with his sword
- testing the new colognes at tommy bahama
Plotting?
he's new to the ship, but he's a loudmouth and it wouldn't be uncommon for him to have just gone up to whoever and start a conversation. i'm cool if people observed him or heard of him being a
wannabecassanova or loud or both! and are like, ewww. it's THAT guy. gross.i like where his cr seems to be headed rn. one day i'd like someone to catch him being a sad boi or seeing him use his wings lol.
he'd definitely be down for stupid shenanigans with other passengers though (like the paper plane fight with jade, insult war with kolchak, lab coat ghosts, etc). if your character hangs out at the bar i feel like he'd ask them to play games like truth or drink or smth.

Flan | Cabin 120
- Flan has already settled herself into a semi-9-5 again, needing some kind of routine in order to feel like she's got 'weekends' or 'time off'. She's started learning to make coffee, so find her filling shifts at the Sand Dollar during the daytime and eagerly joining anyone else who regularly makes coffee there. But since there's a few other 'part-time' barista's, she's been experimenting elsewhere. She's been manning the counter at Scoops and can be found handing out shoes at Cosmic Bowling (the pizza has not improved since Flan started).
- In her free time, catch her partying at Rainbow Renly's, hanging out at Photos at Sea, swimming in the pool and chilling in the hot tubs, and just climbing every single vertical surface on the ship.
- She is also occasionally seen looping from the top of the sky box to just above the waters, sometimes near the sides of the ships and sometimes far off.
- Where you find her, you will often find April and Victor, and thus where you find April and Victor, you will often find Flan.
Interactions
- Flan WILL introduce herself to anyone who stays still long enough for her to chat with them. She's very chipper and cheerful, and if you give her an opening to ask questions, she'll happily grill you on all kinds of stuff. She's pretty open about having gotten her powers through a cult (a fun one!) and that yeah, she's a monster but it's cool. She does her best to avoid 'bummer' conversations so she doesn't talk about the details of how she joined, and she won't ask you anything you're obviously uncomfortable about.
- She's friendly all around but she's especially drawn to cute himbos, gruff dilfs, and mean girls. If you are one of those, you can expect her to make even more of an effort to befriend or bother.
- Flan LOVES gossiping. She's more interested in 'good' gossip and harmless gossip, but she'll be the first to get you a drink to hear more about your ship (and pre-ship) gripes, dramas and various follies. Don't worry, it's mostly only going to April, and Pratt... and Sharky. Maybe Max? Listen, don't worry about it-
Plotting
- Flan needs to eat fear. This can be done just by being near someone who regularly trips, or by taking someone who is afraid for a 'fall', or by actively sacrificing them. She's sticking with the less-intrusive options for now, and I'd love to have her feed off of your character if they're afraid of heights, or if they're very clumsy.
- Do you have a character who is standing at a crossroad between choosing to face their various traumas, and between doubling down that everything fucked up that happened to them was chill and cool? Might I suggest Flan? She will fully support "actually fucked up things are both cool, chill and extremely radical" and also will encourage you to be more selfish!

Chrissy Cunningham | Cabin 101
-Chrissy's most frequents haunts are the library, the pool, Playback, Scoops, Cosmic Bowling and Tommy Bahama. She'll linger at Photos At Sea if she's feeling nostalgic.
-She's been playing DDR more frequently. Initially, it seemed like a reasonable substitute for cheerleading, but she genuinely likes it. She's also still trying to get better at pinball, though it's less of an urgent thing and more of a way to pass the time at this point.
-Chrissy still makes regular nightly visits to the memorial on the athletic deck. Sometimes she leaves a letter or a small drawing; sometimes she just goes to sit quietly.
-She sleeps over in 132 unless Aiden is there or Vance wants the room to himself.
-That said, her sleep schedule is still atrocious, so nighttime wandering is still very much a thing.
Plotting;
-Chrissy's birthday was June 13th. Vance is probably the only one who even knew about it, so instead of a party she conned him into watching movies or something. (She's considering it her eighteenth even though she's pretty sure she missed that one because it happened before she woke up here. Who knows how boat time works.)
-Chrissy is generally agreeable and friendly, so it's safe to assume that she'll stop and chat with pretty much anyone.
-She's not officially anti-Captain/anti-ship so much as that she'd just like to find a way to leave the ship one day and find a place to be with Vance without the regular threat of death and/or mayhem. She's available to chat about this if anyone is interested, though she's unlikely to want to argue about it.
-Her opinion of Sparkles isn't the best because of what it did to Vance, but the bias is strong here so it is what it is. Mostly she just tries to avoid it whenever possible. If avoiding it isn't possible, she's polite but guarded.
-In January, she became a ghost, so people are welcome to stumble across her practicing going invisible or intangible. (She doesn't really need the practice as much anymore, but it's quite fun.)
-Chrissy has a lot of people she considers friends and she'll generally make nice with most people, but Eddie and Steve vanishing hit her harder than she expected it to, so she's been making an effort to not get too close to anyone else, just in case. Naturally, I'd love to throw a wrench into her plans if anyone is interested.
-She told Vance that she won't volunteer for this next excursion unless he does. I'm undecided about future excursions, though I don't really want her to end up sitting all of them out so I'm open to suggestions as far as getting her to sign up for the horrors.
Skulduggery Pleasant - Cabin 117
-- he has a few well-established haunts by now: the library, the Chatterbox, and the athletics deck are common spots to see him loitering around. the library is his favorite daytime spot, where he'll usually find a comfortable chair in the back to read. you can find him at the Chatterbox after 11pm two or three times a week, forcing the karaoke machine to entertain him. it's not unusual to hear him singing as late as 2 AM, but he usually doesn't stick around for longer than an hour. the athletics deck is more of an afternoon/evening gig, as he likes being close to the bridge while he contemplates Stuff and Things.
-- but, since he doesn't sleep and only rarely "rests," you're guaranteed to find him wandering around the ship at some point or another. he tends to pace big loops around the lower decks, as well as the atrium. he tends not to acknowledge people outside of close CR when he's pacing, but he usually doesn't mind when people decide to join him. if he's surprised by someone's sudden appearance beside him, it's usually in the "F*CK" kinda way. he may sock people in the face if they try to surprise him, though.
-- if he's in a restaurant, it's likely that he's with one of his found family members; he sits at meals with Ava and Fio, as well as with Darcy (usually on request, but sometimes he'll see them and just pop in to say hi). however, he enjoys the smell of the cigar lounge, and can be found in there reading from time to time.
-- finally, if he can't be found anywhere on the ship, there are only two options. one, he's flown out towards the barrier, and can be spotted as a dark spot on the horizon. it's quiet out there, and he likes having the time to himself. two, he's up in the bridge with the Captain, which is pretty self-explanatory i think!!! (sometimes, he mayyyy be in his cabin, but only for quick changes. ...or when he has a guest. :) don't worry about it)
Habits/Notable Stuff:
-- Skulduggery is almost always armed with twin revolvers. the only time he isn't is when he's dressed down, usually in his diner clothes. they're safely holstered under his jacket. you'll rarely see him dressed down further than that; if you catch him sporting a sun hat or any TB-branded leisure clothing, it's guaranteed that he's in a Bad Mental State.
-- he has a black and white friendship bracelet tied around his wrist (from Darcy), and his hat has a seashell pin in the band (from Fio). he never takes the bracelet off, and he doesn't go anywhere without the pin -- if he's dressed down, he pins it to his lapel.
-- when pacing, he sometimes talks to "himself." asking him what he's talking about usually results in genuine bafflement and some light gaslighting. ("who talks to themselves? that would be crazy!")
plot-wise:
obviously, Skuls is 100% team "Save the Captain, Save the World" and will not be changing his tune anytime soon. he's at the point where he doesn't see any reason to argue other people out of their opinions, but he does get irritated when it's implied that remaining on the ship is his end goal. generally speaking, if you need someone to push your character into talking with the Captain, I can make him do that in multiple ways -- either by openly suggesting it, or indirectly leading them to the bridge before going ":) guess you should talk to him about it" and running away like a shithead. if your character is super uncomfortable talking 1-on-1 with the Captain, I'm down to have Skulduggery mediate meetings!
he and Crabb have also been working on a potential brochure to be given to new passengers with all the relevant lore information necessary to get people quick-started. this is a replacement for the binder, which he determined to be a waste of time. ICly, he's planning on being biased in the Captain's favor, but i'll be real with you, it's probably not going to be very biased at all in the end. that's because 1) oocly, it'll be better for all of us if it's just basic information about death taxes, excursions, etc., and 2) icly, he's going to be asking people with various viewpoints to give it a once-over. if you think your character would be interested in that, let me know! real x2, i haven't even started on an outline for his talking points yet LMAO
no subject
Because Skulduggery is a lovestruck hypocrite while Natsuno is extremely rational and not biased at all, of course

Sharky Boshaw - Cabin 131
-- Sharky's a pretty chill dude and it's reflected in his favorite hangouts. the promenade is his favorite spot, since there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and places to lounge while eating or drinking. he rotates between bars on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis, and can often be found with a fruity drink or bottle of beer in hand. he will happily shoot the shit with anyone who sits near him, and is great at general small talk. if you've talked to him even once, there's a good chance you've heard a story about him and/or his cousin Hurk back home, usually involving missile launchers or monkeys. teens only need ask for good old Momcle Sharky to order them a drink, no questions asked!!!
-- about once or twice a week, Sharky spends a day hiking deep into the Tommy Bahama. he's gone so deep that he's found countless treasures, like procedurally generated clothing and the secret, bros-only bar and grill that marks the halfway point between infinity and beyond. he's only ever stayed one night inside, and will warn people against doing that. since things aren't repairing as often, he'll often leave the words "SHARKY WAS HERE" in permanent marker at random intervals.
-- he can be found almost every night at the hot tubs, loudly warning approaching parties that this is Pants Off Time before inviting them to join. he never questions people who join, whether they choose to wear their suits or not, but for the hour-long basting process, he will refuse to put on his own shorts.
-- as of June, he's gotten back into the habit of roller skating around the decks as a form of "exercise."
-- he goes to bed pretty late, between 3 and 5 AM, and usually isn't up until 2 PM. he spends a lot of time hanging out with his friends, especially Pratt and Ava, usually getting his hot goss on. there's also a good chance that you've seen him talking to Ossie and/or Giles, looking like a TOTAL GOON while he's doing it.
stuff and things:
-- he wears TB almost exclusively, although he sometimes swaps in pieces from other excursions.
-- he can almost always be found with a ship-branded tote, which contains snacks from the sundries shop, a big ship-branded water bottle, and sunscreen. this is especially true when he's traveling deep into the TB.
-- as of July, he's wearing his hair & beard long again, thanks to an extremely cursed copy of Disney's The Santa Clause.
plotting stuff:
-- Sharky isn't a COP, okay, he doesn't go ~patrolling~ like SOME PEOPLE... but he'll interfere if he sees two people trying to kill each other. this hasn't come up at all, but i wanna put him out there as a potential mediator if anyone needs it.
-- he's pretty ambivalent toward the plot. the ship is a step up for him, but the whole death and horror thing isn't his jam. he doesn't get why the Captain can't just turn the game into a sex rp TBH. however, he has some big hangups about magic in general (ironic considering he's mad crushing on actual changelings), and will usually talk mad shit about it, the Captain, and that stupid skeleton boyfriend of his. like, fuck that guy, seriously. he can offer some decent perspective on why the ship isn't the worst thing ever, but so long as he and Pratt get to live their lives, he's hard-pressed to change anything about the ship itself.
-- he's a mom through and through, so if anyone needs one of those in their lives, he's up for grabs. he's especially good at talking about family back home, given that he left his cousin's baby behind coming here.
-- ALSO I AM 100% DOING ANOTHER RADIO POST AT SOME POINT I JUST HAVE BEEN BUSY...

Probably because he lost his super strength and speed and is paranoid over the impending Horrors

Jade Curtiss | Cabin 109
Routine:
‣ Keeps very sparse sleeping hours and meticulous early morning habits. He's still maintaining his spearmanship training, marksmanship practice with the light-magic gun, and fonic arte experiments with some discretion, usually preferring to work on these things in the relative solitude of less-trafficked hours of the day. But naturally it remains impossible to keep things entirely private on this boat, so people are free to have spotted and noted his habits with any of these things.
‣ He typically likes to canvass all accessible ship locations at least once every couple days to check for notable changes in status, but will generally be most commonly found in the library or on the atheltics/pool decks. The lobby also makes for a fairly quiet spot.
‣ Occasionally he's also poking around in the kitchen. He's not quite as fanatical about it as Some people in there, but! He does enjoy the agency of putting together his own small meals on occasion. One of these days he might get bored enough to start doing questionable food experiments again, though, and when that happens yall gonna be accepting any samples of food he might try to offer you in passing at your own risk smh--
‣ He's also been sliding back into a somewhat habitual drinking pattern again (kick-started back up by the memory rifts and then exacerbated by the labyrinth saga rip), though he does still usually try not to overindulge! Haunts Tauva and the wines there in the later evenings sometimes.
‣ He's keeping subtle but fairly steady tabs on his close friends and pleasant acquaintances where he can; he might not be creeping from the shadows exactly, but he's making note of established habits and any recent new activities, and may be found incidentally hanging around the same areas they might frequent for no particular reason whatsoever. Honestly, it's fine, don't worry about it! Goodness what a small ship huh!!
Plotting:
Jade will not be attending the excursion this month! Certain
chargesfriends have actually decided not to throw themselves into reckless death for once, and he knows they'd feel obligated to come if he tried to go now. Plus there's also the more tactical part of him that's still feeling a bit wary of this new variety of excursion going forward! He'd prefer to first learn about how a guaranteed-death scenario like this one goes down before outright leaping into the fire himself, insofar as the tortures at play & energy results with this certain number of people might be concerned. He's also not convinced that those staying on the ship will be entirely free of hardship in the interim. So somebody probably ought to be around to keep an eye on this end too, at least this time around...Which is his perspective on current proceedings so far in a nutshell! And one I'd be happy to have him share with others, if they want to ask him about it! Otherwise he's in a bit of a holding pattern this month, as the wait for the excursion shoe to drop goes on. I haven't got a lot planned for him atm, but would be happy to get anything rolling! Hopefully as time goes on Jade will be more apt to get caught up in the horrors again, but for now it'll be interesting to see how this all shakes out first.
Voyager | Cabin 125
Routine:
★ This kid is roving all over the ship at pretty much all hours of the day, so it'd be quite reasonable to assume that your character's seen a glowing boy with a flappy scarf around and about in some place or another! As a Servant spirit entity, Voyager actually doesn't need to sleep much at all, so that glowing kid is absolutely being spotted roaming the decks at positively ungodly hours of night as well. Don't worry about it!
★ He's pretty much double-checking almost all areas daily for new developments or interesting faces he hasn't met yet. But his favored haunts are starting to form: sometimes he's wandering the library and poking at the books with varying levels of comprehension, and sometimes he's spending practically the whole day in various parts of the promenade, messing about in the fun venues like Playback and the bowling alley. When night comes around he likes gravitating to the higher decks--sometimes as high as one can get, on the rooftop of the bridge or some such--to get a better look at the sky and the horizon. He's known from the first day that the stars aren't real, yes, but for now they're still interesting to look at all the same...
★ He also doesn't actually get hungry in the conventional sense, but he does enjoy eating things! As a sense of taste is still a pretty fun and new thing for him. Normal food is neat to sample on occasion--especially the variety in the buffet!--but he's also raiding every place with sweets on the daily, to the point that maybe it's a bit concerning to spot out of context...small child why do you seemingly subsist solely on donuts and ice cream and cakes, are you okay--
★ Though he's trying to keep himself from getting too lost in the sauce of Familiarly Endless Exploration for now, Voyager still greatly enjoys wandering the further depths of the Tommy Bahama, and will occasionally take excursions of a couple hours through the clothing racks either on foot or by flight. He's already bumped into the Bahamanal once, though, and has kept an eye out for that particular creature since!
★ If you're singing karaoke, he wants to watch! If you're playing music on instruments, he wants to listen! Voyager positively adores live performances of this kind, and is apt to sit himself down somewhere nearby to raptly watch and listen with absolute concentration until you're finished. Pre-recorded sounds just aren't the same, you know...?
Plotting:
Voyager is also not attending the excursion this particular month, partially because I'm sure there may be people asking him not to...and partially because on an OOC level I'd like to get him more established in the game before tossing him into an inevitable murder ring. He'll actually be somewhat tempted by the signup sheet despite the death warnings, but he can and should be talked out of it at this stage of things, something I'd not at all mind playing out with anyone!
I'm also pretty open to throwing Voyager pretty much anywhere right now!! I'd like to get him some friends established one way or another c: Space friends, Earth friends, magical friends or perfectly normal ones...the works! I do wanna note here that, despite his appearance and despite some of his more childish sensibilities, Voyager isn't really actively seeking parental figures for guidance at this time. Because he doesn't really conceptualize that sort of thing in relation to himself! He still doesn't even really think of himself as a child at all smh...
Ofc on an OOC front I'm happy to swing with found family dynamics if they develop, and I'm certainly not about to stop any characters that might wish to assume such a role for him themselves! But this little guy does have something of a solitary streak that's pretty self-sufficient in some ways and woefully sheltered in others. I can see him potentially rendering just as much comfort to some folks as others might be a comfort to him, going forward into the inevitable horrors!
Re: Voyager | Cabin 125
He would 100% try to firmly talk him out of the excursion.

Number 6 (Peter Smith/Starr) Cabin 114
- He had giant duck wings. You can't miss them. They are always there. Yes, he's had to put holes in the back of all his shirts now.
- After his wedding in August, he will be wearing a nice new wedding ring and going by Mr. Starr (instead of Smith)
- He has more of an appetite for sweets lately
- He's officially moved into Ava's cabin with her. They will always be found together on excursions.
Habits/Routines
- Every morning (unless Ava has convinced him to sleep in) he can be found jogging around the running track on the sport deck followed by boxing on the punching bag in the gym, then he finishes by doing fencing drills back up on the sport deck. He is always open to friendly duels. He does insist on wearing proper fencing masks for safety. You will also note that he has taken to tying his wings in place when doing his fencing drills to keep them out of the way.
- Most mornings he takes brunch after his workouts with Ava in the buffet. He also takes his evening meals with Ava at 6:00 pm. He stops in for tea religiously around 3:30pm at Sand Dollars and will usually bring a book or a sketch pad with him unless he's got company.
- He's an occasional smoker. He's backsliding into the habit a bit more.
Plotting
- He is still giving several people fighting/drill lessons as well as attending/supervising fight club. Give me a shout if you want some lessons from him.
- He likes to sit and sketch portraits. He will usually go give the finished sketch to whoever it is when he's done. Feel free to catch him sketching one of yours.
- He's still planning his wedding and he needs HELP (So do I.)
- He is going on the excursions despite the threat of death and he is very vocal about his reasons. Feel free to have yours get in an argument/discussion about it.
Max Maximum | Cabin 119
- Max is letting his hair grow out. He's been having Valdis cut it to keep it looking nice, but he's aiming to get it long enough for a ponytail. He's about halfway there now but his hair is very, very thick and curly so sometimes when he's just getting out of the pool or finishing a sweaty workout the poor guy looks like he's wearing a dark brown mop. Someone teach him to use bobby pins ASAP.
- Max can turn into a dog/wolf hybrid. He's about the size of a German shepherd, black except for a tuxedo patch of white that starts under his chin and goes to his belly. He loves getting all the pets.
- After dying in a memory, the brand on the back of his neck has returned.
- He's not that pale anymore. All this sun has given him an impressively dark tan, actually.
- He is still very fit, but he's become less chiseled as he slowly lets himself relax the hardcore body sculpting.
- There's more color in his wardrobe now. It's not all just black suits and dark blue ties anymore.
- He's officially dating Valdis and Ylva and will readily call them both his girlfriend--but he's still very open for more
Habits
- Max splits his time between staying over to sleep in Valdis's bed or Sleeping in his own cabin.
- Max keeps a firm morning routine:
1.) Wakes at 5:30am and dresses in jogging shorts and a tank top (funny story, Tommy Bahama apparently only
carries women's tank tops)
2.) 6:00 Cardio in the gym
3.) 6:30 Stretching
4.) 6:40 Weight lifting in the gym
5.) 7:20 Martial Arts Practice
8.) 8:00 Change into speedo and go to the pool to swim laps
9.) 8:45 Yoga on the pool deck
10.) 9:15 Head back to cabin to shower and get dressed for day
11.) 10:00 Brunch at the buffet
- He spends most of his afternoons in the kitchen baking, although sometimes he will go over to the coffee shop to be a barista there instead.
- He always finishes his day by having a drink before bed time.
Plotting
- He won't be going on the July excursion, but he WILL be helping Johnny deliver breakfast orders to those who did go.
- He's a social butterfly so there's probably no place on the ship he doesn't poke his head into. He's always quick to wave hi or come up for a chat if he sees someone he knows around.
- He's making the wedding cake for Peter and Ava's wedding
- He is STILL trying on a daily basis to fish all those hot dogs out of the water and he would welcome any help he can get for that
- He will still flirt with anyone that looks even vaguely interested. This man has all the love to give.
John Crichton Cabin 127/the brig
[Buckle up! CW: drug use, addiction, poor mental health]
- He's been looking like an absolute mess. He's only been performing the most basic of hygiene rituals and sometimes he barely bothers to put on clean clothes. Apologies to anyone with a really good sense of smell.
- He's not been doing his usual fitness routines
- He's been avoiding his own cabin and sleeping in the brig for months
- He will visibly flinch/wince if you mention Arthur to him--the two haven't been seen together since some time shortly after the labyrinth
- He isn't wearing his gun at all times anymore. The holster is sometimes empty.
- His alcohol and Lakah (space drugs) addiction is the worst it's ever been and he is sober less often than he is under the influence of either or both
- His usual boyish attitude is all but gone, replaced with a constant depression fugue
- Harvey is still in there but he's been quiet lately because Crichton is back on his wormhole bullshit
Habits (current depression hole edition)
- When he's not drinking, he's usually sleeping off the hangover in his makeshift room in the brig. He's not an early riser anymore
- He's very irregular with his meals and when he does eat, it's not much
- He's dedicating more and more time to wormhole research so if he's not in a bar, he's in the library looking for any scrap of information he can get
- [cw: drugs/addiction] Crichton is addicted to an alien substance (Lakah) which he has been using to numb his emotional pain and calm his anxiety. Observant people could notice he's sometimes bringing a small black vial to his nose to sniff, followed by a little jerk of his head. He becomes visibly more jittery as he comes down off the drug, but he's started to let less and less time elapse between doses.
Plotting
- Crichton has a second personality named Harvey who has recently revealed that he can take over Crichton's body and pilot him like a meat puppet. Several people are aware of this and are actively hatching plans to try and yeet that fucker.
- [CW: death/violence/breakup] Crichton is in a depressive state because he fucked up really badly with Arthur and they broke up and then he baited Arthur into bludgeoning him to death and now they aren't even able to talk to each other. It's messy.
- Crichton has now realized that his death tax was losing the memory of his mother's voice and he's very upset about it but hasn't told anyone yet
- He recently got his old notes on wormholes as a regain and he is going hard into wormhole research again in the hopes of finding a way to escape
- Get this man so much therapy
