Whilst Daisy is still very adamant about being Welsh Not English, Thank You, she got away from her home town pretty damn fast once she was old enough. She signed up for the police when she was eighteen and was out of Wales up in Lancashire two years later, and she was transferred to the Met not long after that. Since moving to London, she hasn't gone back.

She tells herself it's mostly that she hasn't got reason to, her parents are both dead and she doesn't have any friends back there to miss her. In reality, she doesn't want to go back because it holds weird memories. Mostly the day she first encountered an Avatar, was touched by the Hunt and got her scar courtesy of the ex-best friend she later murdered.

Sooooo... it's a bit of a touchy subject. It's important to her in some ways, but those ways are more negative than positive.

Right now, she would just about rather die than find romance. Even back home, for most of her life she mostly dated casually rather than looking for anything lasting; the pursuit was more fun for her than the actual relationship, so a few dates and a hook-up was pretty much her normal mode of operation, with outright one-night-stands in between. This changed with Basira coming into her life, where having Basira as a partner who was always there but was also seemingly untouchable for a long time sort of... kept that feeling of the Pursuit satisfied.

During her first few months on the boat she had a lot of casual hook-ups with other women but then Basira arrived and it didn't take long for them to get together. She sort of expected the feelings to die out now the hunt was over but they didn't, probably because Basira had long since began hitting the Guard Dog buttons over anything else. Of course, now Basira's in the Nothing and Daisy misses her dearly, whilllllst also having had a memory update where the Basira at home began to see her as weak, which means her feelings on her are very complicated. Still, she basically gave up the last of her humanity to make sure Basira lived, so...

Yeah. Avoiding romance right now.
