Handwaved CR Meme

The passengers have been living on this ship for a while now, and it's likely that they've fallen into certain habits and routines. Little things have become part of their day, from lunch dates with friends, to quiet nights in the library, or long-standing blood feuds. Even the newest passengers have likely found themselves some common haunts and familiar faces. This is a meme to talk about, flesh out, and collaborate on some of those behind-the-scenes moments and routines!

1. Post a comment with your character, and give us an idea of what sort of things they get up to around the ship! Be as detailed or as vague as you'd like.
2. Talk about what kind of handwaved CR you can inspire! Is your character the type to stop and chat with friends on the promenade? Are they consistently the highest score on multiple arcade cabinets? IDK, you tell me!
3. When you look at other characters' routines, you might notice some moments that line up! Even if your characters are total strangers, they might see each other at the buffet every day, or maybe they're unwittingly competing for the high score on DDR. And close CR might mean weekly dinners, book clubs, sparring sessions every morning... like I said, this is where you shine!!
4. This is also a good chance to handwave characters exchanging contact information, generating some more inbox threads!

TLDR: write about your character's life on the ship and then compare notes with other people, find CR, ???, profit

oh hey Jeff's all about dragging people into social activities and friendly conversation! and he's the sort of person who'll just flop down at a stranger's table and chat them up at the buffet, so he definitely could've annoyed Vance before

he also spends some time at the arcade, and he's a terribly noncompetitive hippie, so he's pretty easy to beat at... any game, really. which could suck the fun out of winning, who knows

...though I can also see him accidentally winning at some fighting game through haphazard button mashing, too...

also he'll think Vance's hair is really fucking cool

yesss I'm all for sewing lessons and challenging 6's idea of gender presentation! depending on how it goes, Jeff could either be really laid back and patient, or get upset and slip into REBELLIOUS YOUTH mode and just try to shock and annoy Number 6--

--but ultimately he does like the guy, so even if they wind up offending each other, Jeff won't hold a grudge

It's called the buddy system!! Crichton is more than happy to have a tag-a-long because he can't stand being lonely at the best of times and these are not the best of times. If he's telling Arthur he's heading out somewhere, it's almost certainly an unspoken invitation to go with.

You see nothing Arthur >:[ he's just got a healthy love of drinking, nothing else to look into. Totally fine. He probably does blubber a little when he gets far enough into the bottle, so Arthur has probably caught snippets about Aeryn or at least her name but nothing that would sound coherent. How lucky they are to have such a good responsible person as their across-the-hall neighbor, April, to carry them home out of the goodness of their heart.

tear you may be a foodie so i have to ask will you eat food made by other people, especially from an ez bake oven! pollux is a great baker and chef so she will not be let down!

pollux frequents the library because she loves reading books about humans and written by humans... so they can read romance stuff together since Greek mythos is all about love (so is she)

also I just want to note that Jeff was probably in total EXCITED PUPPY MODE if he met Arthur in Bash's company, which... might be A Lot, but look, he means well. he just loves making friends and he wants to make friends with anyone important to his people!!

(and I'm so down for him eventually catching on to some similarities in their ADHD brains, though it might take Jeff a bit. does Bash have a type? it seems like he might have a type...)

He will also be pretty interested in hearing Jeff's music, though he will be slightly wary of the spell qualities because it brushes close to mind-altering which is a thing he's always a little spooked by. Karaoke though! He's all in!

and luckily, he won't be doing any mind altering magic unless asked, and will mostly stick to fluffy silly magic tricks. but I'm all for the subject coming up, just so Jeff can sort of... have a think about the ethical issues of some of the stuff he used to do with magic. let's dive into the mess!

Shi Qingxuan and Sharky haven't threaded yet, but the idea of the two of them both late-night skinny dipping in the hot tubs is really amusing to me because Shi Qingxuan wouldn't be the least bit embarrassed to do it with and would treat it like a chill casual hangout. He also likes hanging around Hurikane and wandering around Infinite Tommy Bahama in hopes of finding something that looks good.

Handwaved casual acquaintances maybe? Shi Qingxuan is easygoing and friendly, so he'd definitely chat.
