5 Things to 5 People Meme

The Rules:
1. Post with your characters name/canon and write 5 IC things about/to 5 peeps, don't say who they are for!
1.5. If you have more people to write things to, feel free.
2. Go around and yell at/talk with/interrogate other peeps.
3. Potentially guess that jerk is talking about you, wtf.
4. Profit???

( it's actually the smushiest, mushiest, grossest, most uncomfortable thing she's been told in a long time?? yanno, the sort of sentiment that sets your spine on edge and launches you headfirst into complicated flashbacks with your mother? while simultaneously being something she'd been thirsty to hear for the past two...three years, and just hits funny now that it's actually spoken aloud???
from a winged guy whose name she doesn't know, hadn't clocked it at all while everyone had been screaming on top of the rover. why does it work? no, ignore that, immediate course correction to self deprecation. )
...I accidentally threw my best friend off the roof, through a wall, back out into the hoard, and directly into a dangerous moon magician I'm pretty sure wants to kill us both. Nothing to be proud of.

... No one was gonna expect your driving to be perfect in an apocalypse zombie hoard with meteor strikes and everybody screaming. Still got all of us out of there, right? Sure, all of us had to be there to make it work. So did you.
[ Two things can be correct simultaneously, hey. Threw your friend into a murderous moon magician (??? what???) and helped the lot of them get back to safety. ]

( the need to continually self deprecate is strong and constant present in her bones, but. that's so much easier in the company of friends, who she feels the need to convince they'd be better off heading for the hills rather than putting any stake in her capabilities. it's just flat weird with strangers. especially mushy smushy proud of you strangers, which are a type she's not encountered in... ever? )
...but. Thank you.
( don't ask about the moon magician, she could trash talk about ebalon for hours. instead just accept the hand extended — tentative in theory, firm in practice — to shake. )
We didn't really meet properly. What's your name?

He shakes with the firm shake of a professional, hand warm and weathered. ]
Phil Connors. And yours?

( phil meet clarke. warm weathered hand meet gun callouses and fresh scars across a palm. they shake with a degree of business formality, but it feels casual (familiar) in the way it should between two strangers who'd raced across the oozing and burning corpses of human beings without uttering much of a word. )
What happened to the other car, after all of you jumped? I wasn't paying much attention. ( focused on night driving through corpses and all, with very few windows and a lot of fire-blinding if she looked in the sideview mirrors — thanks jade and natsuno, mvps. )

[ Phil stops to think. His memory of it all is all pretty haphazard at the moment. So much was happening at once that it's hard to stitch the pieces together, but there's a logical progression lost in there somewhere. ]
I don't even know how, but thankfully it wasn't for too long. There was... before any of us could do anything there was a giant dinosaur that picked him up. You saw the dinosaur, right? He was riding cavalry on it.

So that really did happen? I swear, I'd thought I'd imagined it. Where did a dinosaur even come from?

Do those exist?

An alien moon goddess gave me these wings. I'm willing to believe anything at this point.

yeah.
her best friend is a teenage vampire, another is a jellyfish twink, she's gotten gropey with a failed god and accomplished necromancer both, and managed to get over gal friday's lack of a face alarmingly quickly. so. yeah. )
My world had a spaceship and an A.I. attempted a coup, but there wasn't a drop of magic. Then I wake up here, and... You're right, I really shouldn't be surprised, I just —
( a shrug, hands palm up as if to still impress it was a fucking dinosaur, though. )

[ It's ridiculous, really. ] I wonder who it was. I'd love to meet them.
