Passion about math, at least. It doesn't particularly hold any appeal for Malcolm beyond the statistics he uses to profile serial killers.

"So how about this one?" Malcolm asks, holding up the shirt in his hand. "Is there a mathematical formula to determine how hideous a shirt is? And where would this one rank on it?"

Malcolm must be truly desperate to be in this store, but all things considered, he doesn't think this shirt is that bad.
