She's not going to argue with him, her expression says, she just wants to look mournful for a bit and take the last drink of the cocktail, knowing she'll wholeheartedly feel it in the morning and that it will be the sort of suffering that she can only call her own fault. None of that is bad, at all, but still, she feels like she's being halted from what she needs to do. From everything that demands her time and attention. It's rather the opposite of helping one settle.
