Well, shit. That was a very different set of circumstances. Which immediately made Ashley feel bad for being excited. He rubbed a hand over his face and sighed. Foot meet mouth, again.

"I'm...sorry." He said sincerely. Ashley didn't think he was frequently wrong but when he was, he was quick to admit it. "Not even a little bit cool."

There were a lot of other questions he wanted to ask but thought it was probably best to shut up. He had probably been drinking too much. Not a good excuse and he didn't want to offer that as one, it was weak. Instead he stood up.

"Look, I put my foot in my mouth on a good day and...today has not been a good day. So, best thing for me to do is go sleep it off. I'm sure I'll see you around."

Ashley gave a wave of his hand and headed for his room.
