He can practically taste her hate for him. The way her claws twitch, she's itching to have a go. Yet, she resists. That training she claimed he gave her must have been helpful after all.

"At least you know how to keep a vow." Maybe that's why he apparently decided to keep her. Who can say? He still doesn't buy that it's the only reason but if she wants to save face then, perhaps, he can still walk away from this encounter alive for once.
