She looks that dopey kind of in love for a brief moment. "But what's a comp con?" She can make half-guesses at what the words stand for, especially with the context of controls. But it sounds like a very specific kind of system.

And yes, she picks up on that amusement, and is more grateful for it than offended. Thing to watch out for is how quickly trying to feel out somebody's potential threat levels turns into an accidental challenge.
