It's that, or the librarian is rather simple minded, but he doesn't wish to assume that level of the worst of someone he hasn't met yet. But the goodwill he might have come with started disappearing the moment he realized there was some godforsaken bone charm around his neck, and that he would have to hold up on this alone.

Closing the rather saccharine novel he had just pulled with a promising title - no, just something about young people and dragons of all things, not an actual reference - he shelves it, then steps back to look at the shelf in its entirety.

"Unless there's a second library full of fact, but I saw no such thing on any map."
