Haha, this reminds me that I was a little sad that Shi Qingxuan and Nobunaga's last thread was while Shi Qingxuan was possessed because Shi Qingxuan would have actually been really sympathetic towards Nobunaga and want to help. ;; (Not that possessed!Shi Qingxuan didn't have his own sense of sympathy there, but Shi Qingxuan won't remember any of it.;;)

Anyway, helping people is really important to Shi Qingxuan. He never really presents it as a godly responsibility so much as it's just part of his own moral code to help others and use his own power and influence to do it. He's not dumb enough to get himself physically hurt while helping someone or trying to do something he knows is beyond his means, but if he can help someone, he will! He'll even help people who he previously went against because he believes in positive change and repentance over punishment.

In game, being helpful hasn't actually bitten him in the ass yet, though it'd be fun if it did!! In canon, he dismisses the idea, and he also has his older brother shielding him from any major blowback. But this side of him has still caused trouble in that people will use him (because he's generous!) but will not return the favor or get too close to him (because no-one wants to get pulled into something that can possibly trouble them). Shi Qingxuan is aware of this fact. It does not dissuade him, it just makes him extra surprised whenever a friendship doesn't follow that formula...
