Handwaved CR Meme

The passengers have been living on this ship for a while now, and it's likely that they've fallen into certain habits and routines. Little things have become part of their day, from lunch dates with friends, to quiet nights in the library, or long-standing blood feuds. Even the newest passengers have likely found themselves some common haunts and familiar faces. This is a meme to talk about, flesh out, and collaborate on some of those behind-the-scenes moments and routines!

1. Post a comment with your character's name & cabin number in the header, and give us an idea of what sort of things they get up to around the ship! Be as detailed or as vague as you'd like.
2. Talk about what kind of handwaved CR you can inspire! Is your character the type to stop and chat with friends on the promenade? Are they consistently the highest score on multiple arcade cabinets? IDK, you tell me!
3. When you look at other characters' routines, you might notice some moments that line up! Even if your characters are total strangers, they might see each other at the buffet every day, or maybe they're unwittingly competing for the high score on DDR. And close CR might mean weekly dinners, book clubs, sparring sessions every morning... like I said, this is where you shine!!
4. This is also a good chance to handwave characters exchanging contact information, generating some more inbox threads!

TLDR: write about your character's life on the ship and then compare notes with other people, find CR, ???, profit

so late but YES I love all of these dynamics. Jeff welcomes a mom friend, it's been so long since he's had one, and I love their interactions already. (Also since his mom's an artist, impromptu art nonsense with mom friend will give Jeff A LOT OF FEELINGS)

ALSO DEFINITELY YES to gender talks and DIY and makeup cuddle parties, we can definitely assume they've been doing some of that already in the background.

Jeff's used to not totally remembering people, so I'm all for assuming they've already met a few times, and Jeff will just continue introducing himself like it's the first time. WE MUST HAVE THEM MEET AGAIN OVER THE FURBY

He just got some of his clothes from home, too, so we've already discussed sharing clothes. There's so many. If you need to borrow his pants that lace up on the sides, let him know.

WHOOPS WHAT WAS JACK UP TO IN NOVEMBER??

Overall:
Well, through October, despite being able to freely drink booze and smoke wherever, the slow destruction of the ship (and sudden destruction of his room) and creeping paranoia of who might attack someone next has led to Jack walking around armed again through November. See him wandering around with a shoulder bag, a shotgun, a handgun, and a wrench on him at all times, though the shotgun doesn't come out as often when he reaches the midpoint of November with no explosions or random attacks.

You can assume most small talk he makes is about normal stuff he does on the ship, books read and neat, not horrifying things he's seen about the ship. Maybe light anecdotes about his life that doesn't dig in too deep. And doesn't mention his whole being lab-grown thing, he'll talk like he actually grew up on a farm in Kansas.

More specific:

- With ghost service open again, Jack rotates between all the restaurants on the ship throughout the week. Eat at one regularly enough and you're bound to see him one day.
- He usually gets a table by himself, but if he spots his regular CR he'll stop by to say hi and join them if they seem open to it.

- Most regularly you'll find him getting coffee at Sand Dollars in the morning. Sunday mornings he'll eat a late breakfast (dare I say... brunch?) at Windjammer, and I'll say late in the week, usually Thursdays, you can catch him eating dinner there too. He's one of those guys who piles an unholy amount of food on his plate we could form a club lmao, but he'll also pop in on his late night walks to just grab something off a table for a snack if he's bored.

- Which yeah, he's one of those guys who gets restless at night and wanders around the ship. we should just form one of those clubs that does a fitness walk around a mall lol Can be found leaning on the rail and looking thoughtfully at the ocean.

- He borrows old weird pulp books and sci-fi novels, some of the classics but also lots of weird ones. He likes reading stories that are weirder than his life. Usually likes off-planet stuff because of that, but he's open to anything distracting.

- He also spends time in the arcade now and then; previous he was on the crane games a lot but he's trying his hand at some others. Mostly racing games this month, or something like Cyber Sled, sometimes you can see him just mindlessly button-smashing on a fighting game, occasionally you might catch him looking unsatisfied with a shooting game.

- Also for some reason, he's going to be spending more and more afternoons/evenings in the Tommy Bahama as November progresses, looking worse for wear yet satisfied whenever he leaves... When he leaves that way. There has been at least one time where he went in and didn't come back out - he's died in there once is what I'm saying, maybe more depending how it goes. But don't worry, he's fine with it!

- On a general basis, he'll text back anyone who texts him, and probably says hi to his CR on a regular basis just to check in - he's a little more attentive about that after October. Conversation topics via text are about the same as they are in person, i.e. light stuff about the goings-on on the ship and what Jack's been up to, nbd, now with emotes.

swings back in really late but yeah be careful if you Ask she might say yes and even she's not sure if that's a good idea. and she probably humours the flirting if with the air of like, Faintly Amused Older Woman lmao

Swings back to this stupidly late to saaaay that Gideon's also thrown by the variety (and intensity of the flavours) of the food, the sheer amount of sunlight on the ship, all the natural materials/amount of stuff that isn't made out of plastic, that there's just real paper lying around all over the place and also generally confused by the utter lack of necromancy/bone magic from everyone else. She's confused by how old a lot of the tech is, but it's also similiar enough that she can use it. I figure she and Cassandra overlap on most of this, minus Gideon being more shocked to see a ton of natural products instead of synthetic ones.
