Handwaved CR Meme

The passengers have been living on this ship for a while now, and it's likely that they've fallen into certain habits and routines. Little things have become part of their day, from lunch dates with friends, to quiet nights in the library, or long-standing blood feuds. Even the newest passengers have likely found themselves some common haunts and familiar faces. This is a meme to talk about, flesh out, and collaborate on some of those behind-the-scenes moments and routines!

1. Post a comment with your character, and give us an idea of what sort of things they get up to around the ship! Be as detailed or as vague as you'd like.
2. Talk about what kind of handwaved CR you can inspire! Is your character the type to stop and chat with friends on the promenade? Are they consistently the highest score on multiple arcade cabinets? IDK, you tell me!
3. When you look at other characters' routines, you might notice some moments that line up! Even if your characters are total strangers, they might see each other at the buffet every day, or maybe they're unwittingly competing for the high score on DDR. And close CR might mean weekly dinners, book clubs, sparring sessions every morning... like I said, this is where you shine!!
4. This is also a good chance to handwave characters exchanging contact information, generating some more inbox threads!

TLDR: write about your character's life on the ship and then compare notes with other people, find CR, ???, profit

I'm honestly happy having that punchline hit in a future thread if it doesn't organically resolve in NHIE! It'll be hilarious either way.

Jack is at least very polite about the two people named Shi Qingxuan, who must be siblings like Pollux and Castor, right?

god you know, in this way Jack probably tells pratt about his other powers if he didn't already in that thread, or at least that he does fire and electricity too.

And he'll answer any stupid shower thought question about them because Jack has had time and opportunities to experiment on his own stupid sleep deprived ideas even before landing on the ship

You know Pratt texted at 2am like: what if you do electric shit in the rain? can you shoot fireballs underwater? can you use that to pop popcorn?

Like literally whatever the stupidest thing possible - that's what Pratt is texting.

the fantastic thing about Jack is either he has an answer immediately (no fire underwater, don't recommend standing in water when using electrobolt) or he has one in about, say, the time it takes to burn a few bags of popcorn in Tauva.

Arthur used to be a professional pianist and has composed pieces for it but currently... doesn't... for trauma reasons. Though now that I'm realising how many characters just go and jam on the piano in John's, I almost want him to start wanting to play again as a result of being surrounded by musical people? something I need to give deep thought to

also if you stay in a room with him for long enough he's almost guaranteed to start humming, so there's that too

Absolutely! The point of gathering teachers is to help students more effectively, and a lot of it is just theory and then application; how to fight together with someone instead of simply near someone, coordinate effectively, avoid stabbing or shooting your friends by mistake.
