"You're going to discover some of it as you go. The captain is pretty close to omnipotent, there's other passengers with different sort of magic and abilities here. Or advanced science from different worlds or they're from the distant past."

Murderbot shrugs. "I've died. The captain set up a shore expedition that turned out to be a battle royale, so almost everyone's died at least once. Except the people who don't do shore excursions."

There's a vague sort of disdain for the cowards who don't go on the expeditions.
