There's a bit of a sigh; Murderbot doesn't tend to give out its name freely. Humans don't seem to like what it thinks of itself as. "You can call me SecUnit, or you can call me Rin. I don't care which you use, I'll answer to either."

That's a little bit of a fib, honestly. It doesn't understand the human instinct to default to Rin as being closer to a name. Most people on the ship find 'SecUnit' dehumanizing.

...which is the point. It's not human.
