Jack had in fact gotten lucky on that draw - two pairs.

He gives a small shake of the head at the offer of a cigarette, but makes no objection to Johnny lighting up himself. He does take a sip from his glass of wine as he awaits the new cards.

Now that they're fully engaged in conversation, Jack will be watching Johnny more closely. He hasn't got his senses finely honed when it comes to catching tells, but he does at least know he should be trying to spot them.

"Pirate Jenny," he echoes. Odd name. Jack looks at his new hand and his forehead tightens a little.

Something Johnny said a moment ago just dawned on him.

"And how does a storm goddess fit into this?"
